List of Lucy Covello's Reviews
Is Lucy still ignoring patients blood work results and flipping paper work incessantly as she talks to you? Just wondering. One of the worst endocrinology doctors I’ve ever encountered. Time to retire Lucy.
Dr. Covello is one of the very finest doctors I’ve ever been treated by in a life filled with so, so many doctors. Despite her years of experience, her humanity is ever-present. Being kind as well as extraordinarily competent is such a rare, valued combination in 2022. I’d consider it an impactful loss if I were to lose her as my endocrinologist. Chris Traynor (a patient for 20 years)
I’ve seen Dr Covello over 20 years. She is compassionate, explains and always asks if any questions. No one could ever fill Dr Covellos shoes.
Excellent
My experience has been outstanding. Dr. Covello is a compassionate understanding doctor. She listens to your concerns and is patient in explaining procedures. I am very pleased that I have Dr. Covello as a doctor.
I had twins in 2013 shortly after I started seeing her. I was seeing for over 2 years when I was pregnant again. She followed me and my baby for about 5 months when things were getting to be to much for her she told me she cant be my dr. Anymore. Pretty much putting my unborn baby and myself out. She didnt give me any references to another dr. I had to do all my research to find another DR. On my own. She seems like she cant handle under pressure and when you throw something in there like a baby she freaks out and leave you stranded. I since then found another DR. And have not looked back.
I started seeing her in 2013 shortly after I had twins. She was following me for about 2 years when I got pregnant again. She followed with ne until I was 5 months pregnant. She then told me she couldnt be my dr. Anymore. She didnt give me any references to other drs. I had to do all my searching myself. I since then found another DR. And havent looked back. She seemed like she couldnt handle pressure. I would not recommend her.
Worked me in early as my blood glucose was high. Great bedside manner and clear explanations. Wonderful experience...and I've been to others who were abrupt and rude, so this was a pleasant surprise.
Lucy Covello has been my doctor for more than a decade. It began in Chilton Hospital's ICU and has continued to this day when I visit her for check-ins at her office. Dr. Covello has always treated me with respect and compassion (as she has also treated my wife during the time I was in an induced coma - keeping her aware and positive). She is exceedingly kind but still direct. Her office is very well-run and patient supportive. I consider myself quite lucky to have found Dr. Covello!
Absolutely terrible at understanding diabetes. Everything is the patient’s fault. She offers zero interest or concern with the patient, unless you are doing well. Bottom line is my a1c while with her was >10 and never dropped. Since getting a new endo, I’m down to 8.3. Trying new solutions and ideas given by a knowledgeable endocrinologist. My advice, get somewhere else fast. She is a terrible dr. Offers no advice or answers.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
