Cooper University Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I am New to NJ and I have been treated in various hospitals in Philadelphia and Surrounding area and I must say the care that I have recieved at Cooper University Hospital was amazing. The Drs, Nurses and staff made me feel so special in easing my worries and relating to me as a person like great friend and neighbor. Thank you Cooper

I went to they're hiring eventually they had on May 16th from 1pm-4pm and because they weren't expecting alot o people I was turned away to get interview. That's so rude and unprofessional. Cooper should of been prepared for alot of people showing up.

Had the pleasure of calling this hospital to check on a [patient (who incidentally is a Physician). The operator in question, quite firmly told me that he is not on your staff. Just to be clear this is what I said,. " Please may I speak to Dr. Ellis Jacobs,. who was a patient in your hospital, and I am told is in room 721". This had to repeated at least 5 times, when it finally dawned on her what I was saying. Each time she denied that Dr. Jacobs was not a member of your staff!!!! Obviously, she is either one who has deficient hearing or does not listen to the callers request!!!! As a teaching hospital, I am surprised that such things happen. I say this [primarily, I, also happen to be a retired {hysian myself. Thank you

My son was transferred to cooper the ambulance got my son in why we parked. Then I sat in the ER Lobby for about 30 minutes while my son was in the back now mine you my son is a minor!!! That was really unacceptable. Then we sat in the trauma unit for 2/12-3 hours in a room that had blood and trash all over the floor while waiting on a room to be admitted. They should really stat their beds especially when they need them that bad. Never coming back here again, next time i will be going to chop even it’s an extra couple of minutes.

I am in the cath lab bed 456W at this very moment with my husband in bed 456W. All of a sudden, I can CLEARLY hear all the details of a procedure, including the patient’s name and DOB, coming from the other side of the door we entered. Are you kidding me? I can hear how they had to shock the patient in there several times. I know his name. I know his DOB. Are you kidding me? I actually opened the door bc I was baffled bc WE ENTERED THROUGH THAT DOOR! I couldn’t believe that there was patient in the middle of a procedure!! Are you kidding me? Nurses attending to that patient and then my husband talking at the top of their lungs reciting personal medical history and questions. I tried hinting at it by saying “we’re not in a private room,” but the one male nurse didn’t get it. When I finally had to say, “This is personal information; how about we use our inside voices,’ he rolled his eyes. Are you kidding me? I will never be back if I can at all help it. I’m utterly disgusted.

They should change the name to Cooper Factory. I'm told they're good at procedures, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with how my father was treated as a patient and it would take too long to type all the reasons why. They should at least try to make an effort to remember that their patients are human beings, and maybe everybody stop pointing fingers at everybody else in the hospital as being the reason for the poor care. You're all the reason.

My daughter was in a lot of pain after diving into a fence at softball. She went to the ER like the trainer advised. The doctor was rude and made her feel like she was lying about the injury. They told her there were people with serious conditions they needed to treat. That a horrible way to treat an 18 year old who is trying to be responsible.

5-10 years ago, I would say Cooper was an amazing hospital, but now, Cooper is not the hospital it used to be. Starting with the ER. Terrible care from staff (nurses and physicians alike) There are a select few nice ones that I have encountered so far during my mother's stay but the rest seem to not care about my mother's health. I am not sure if it's because they are short staffed or simply this new generation of health professionals doesn't genuinely care about the patients. Makes me believe they're only here for the money. Thank you to the caring staff, the rest of you should feel guilty.
