I went to Dr. Capanesu with concerns about rectal bleeding. She brushed me off and said it was just hemorrhoids. She said come back in 10 years for a colonoscopy. I wasn’t comfortable with her diagnosis so I sought a second opinion. It turns out I had a cancer growing that despite many types of therapy to control the cancer, it metastasized throughout my body -stage four). Shame on her for not pursuing my concerns more thoroughly. Her carelessness will result in my early death.

Dr. Capanescu missed a tumor in my colon. She said I was all clear and to return in 10 years. In two years I got a second opinion and was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer.

She is the nicest, most Caring, THOROUGH, doctor I’ve met in a long time. Super sweet woman. My son saw her and raved about her as well. Thank you Dr for being so wonderful!!

I have been going to Dr. Capanescu for many years. She is the best gastroenterologist I have ever been to. She listens to you and explains her treatments. I feel so lucky to have her as my doctor because she has helped me so much with my issuses.

Had an appointment with her last year, she listened to me and though I was there to discuss an Endoscopy, she suggested having my Colonoscopy at the same time. She went through all my symptoms, listening thoroughly. She was a pleasure to talk to and in that time, I felt as though I was talking to a friend. Excellent "Bed-Side", manner. The worse part of the procedure, was not at all the Procedure, but the prep (drinking liquid and having to take a few pills). Once I arrived and checked in, she was there from beginning to end. The procedure was easy and when I woke, I was happy and had not even realized that it was over. May I add also, if this is the procedure that you have to have done, and for me, it was the best sleep I have ever had, even though I’m certain I was only there for an hour or so… She is simply excellent, and hands down one of the best doctors I have ever spoken to. You will not regret seeing her.
