Dr. Reiger is an amazing healer

Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Rieger and his staff! I went to him for a herniated disc in my neck. He got me in quickly for surgery and I am now pain free!

I had a really large herniation in my back, which causes nerve pain. I was literally unable to walk for more than minutes at a time, and was bedridden for about a month straight. Dr. Rieger saw me days after I requested an appointment, and ended up performing surgery on me only 1-2 weeks after this initial visit. It’s been 6 weeks today, and my life has changed. I can walk again, for long distances, sit in chairs again, lay comfortably on my bed again, and live an extraordinary life. I was skeptical, scared and in disbelief this surgery would help. But I put my trust in Dr. Rieger and he literally fixed my life. He is amazing at what he does and has amazing accolades to back all the lives he has changed.

Dr. Rieger was into trying all other solutions before surgery. I had buttocks pain and pain (numbness) in my legs which radiated down my legs into my feet making it hard to walk after a short distance or stand for a short time. After X-ray and Cat-scan I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis at L5-S1 and major stenosis at L3-L4-L5. The first doctor wanted to operate and do a fusion and Lumbar Laminectomy (L4 to S1). Dr. Rieger was willing to try other treatments and see where that would lead. In the end when I could no longer walk more than two blocks without having to sit down it was time for surgery. After a few talks with Dr. Rieger we came to the conclusion that a fusion while recommend would be the more invasive option. Instead, I request just the Laminectomy of L4 and near Laminectomy of L3 and L5. So how did this work out, it's been about six months now and when people ask if I am 100 percent now, I say, NO I'm 1000 percent now. A few other pains that I had are also gone.

I would absolutely highly recommend Dr. Rieger, and I have to my family and friends, including my father. After a disappointing visit with a different orthopedic group, who identified severe DDD at C5-6 , but really dropped the ball and did little to nothing to alleviate my pain or move my treatment along, my condition worsened severely. A former colleague suggested Dr Rieger and I left my first visit with him with literal tears of hope and joy. The disc at c6-7 had also herniated and was pressing into the nerve causing excruciation pain, total numbness in my fingers and complete loss of strength in my arm. By the time I got home he had approval for an MRI, which the other doc had been unable to secure and told me I had to wait 6 weeks. Dr. Rieger educated me, answered all my many questions and took confident control of the situation. I truly felt like I was in good hands. After some testing and more conservative treatment we opted for ACDF C5-7 to alleviate my pain and regain the use of my hand and arm, as well as prevent the nerve damage from spreading and becoming permanent. Everything went exactly as he had explained and now almost 5 months post surgery, I could not be happier. Superior care. No question.

I had a severe disc herniation. I couldn't sit,bend, sleep. Walking hurt. After week 2 of surgery. Pain is gone. Numbness in my leg is gone. I can sit upright, walk again. He saved me. Dr. Rieger is a great surgeon!

I had a severe disc herniation could not sit. My legs would go numb and the pain was excruciating! Dr. Rieger is great surgeon! Saved me! 2 weeks after surgery, I can sit, walk, and the pain is gone! Things you take for granted in life. 5 stars for this gentleman! Thank you

I can not say enough positive things about Dr. Rieger and his staff. I have had back pain with it going down my leg for as long as I can remember. I am young and active but becoming more limited to what I was able to do without pain. Dr. Rieger not only took me seriously but took the time to discuss all my options. He did not push surgery or any one particular treatment on me. In the end I had a herniated disk in my lower spine and decided to have surgery. I am not even 2 months out from my surgery and feel 1,000 times better. I am able to get back to my normal active life. I highly recommend him and his staff to any and all who want to live their life pain free but on their own terms.

I was in excruciating neck pain for almost 20 years. I got my MRI results which showed I had two severe herniated discs that required surgery. Dr. Rieger was the best! He explained every detail of my situation and what it would take to fix. I am 3 months out from ACDF surgery and can not even believe the difference. I highly suggest Dr. Rieger if you are in similar shoes. I also was made super comfortable by Elaina. I believe she is his assistant. She was awesome and great at answering any questions. Dr. Rieger and Elaina were super accommodating and professional. And most importantly my pain is gone! Thank you!!!

I had 3 herniated discs and tried PT, 2 epidurals and nothing seemed to help. Dr. Rieger was extremely patient with me. He answered all my questions as well as my husbands. He thoroughly explained the surgery as well as what I would experience afterwards. I am 3 weeks post op and the pain is gone. I can't say enough good about Dr. Rieger and his staff. Thank you!
