List of Summit Medical Group's Reviews
Stay away from this Horrible group. It's impossible to get an appointment for several months for any kind of doctor. Instead, they push on you to see nurse practitioners or telemedicine appointments with PA's, while of course still charging insurances as if you are seeing an actual doctor. And even these appointments are not readily available. Then when you do get to see someone, you are rushed out in less than 2 minutes. Do Yourself a favor and Take your HEALTH elsewhere, find a doctor that cares. Years ago Summit Medical used to be a good group. Now it's just a giant factory like corporation, where you are just a meaningless number.
Excellent service and in a much timely fashion. Thank you to Dr. Boretz and his staff on my surgery. Dan
Doesn't require their nurses to be COVID vaccinated
Doctors are good, but their billing team and nurses are HORRENDOUS. Especially when it comes to sending the correct codes for your labs and all. I got my annual physical done in Labcorp. They sent the incorrect codes and since April 2021 i have been calling every few days and they can't get their act together. Its September 2021 now. Unbelievable. If anything, try and get bloodwork done within their facilities so they can sort these issues out.
The absolute worst place to go. Felt so uncomfortable when I was there and they have all of the different doctors patients waiting together. I have asked for my records to be transferred at least four times and still haven't received them!
I liked my doctor. The building was nice. I spent 6 hours with billing on the phone about a payment to one of their offices they could not find. Called back after I found the office, kept getting the same person that assured me I had not made a payment. I called the same number I had given my "Customer Care" rep and yes they had my payment. If I needed to connect the dots for billing what else are they overlooking?
Evil doctors hold routine prescriptions hostage for unnecessary doctor's appointments and blood tests every six months. I have a job and can't take a million days off for unnecessary medical appointments if I want to keep my medical insurance. I should only have to go to a doctor when sick. Otherwise, stop wasting my time with unnecessary blood work because you are in league with corrupt insurance companies.
All I have to say is you could have a 2 pound tumor on your head and all they care about is if you lose 20 lbs it may go away. Weight is all that matters not your health.
Billing:I have been trying to resolve an issue with my wife's' account since September or October 2020 to rectify a supposed outstanding balance for numerous dates of services from March 2019 thru Feb 2020.After receiving a bill in late June 2019 totaling approx. $1,110 cover dates of service from March thru June 2019, I established a $90.00 per month payment plan with an account services representative, who also applied a 20% discount as a courtesy. After another monthly bill in March 2020, with approx. $900 added, I coincidently spoke to the same representative who instructed me to continue payment plan for three 2020 service dates in January and February. I have be paying $90.00 per month, with a few payment amounts adjusted for total amount due, since July 2019.I started noticing near the end of 2020, the monthly statements amount due was $180.00 or $270.00 (typically the amount due was agreed upon $90.00) and the remaining balance seemed too high. Upon speaking to different account services representative, they could or could not find my checks paid thru my employer provided Health Savings Account (HSA). One person said that my monthly payment plan was not noted correctly. When one account services representative indicated two checks were missing, I contacted Via Benefits HSA who sent me copies of those deposited checks. Remarkably, the back of checks were blank and did not show any stamp with bank info.I have spoken to numerous account services representative, including two supervisors, and sent e-mails explaining my position including spreadsheets with my evaluations from the monthly bills and health insurance to confirm the total amounts owed and record of checks submitted from my HSA (my employer changed administrators in early 2020). I even sent letter to CEO via registered mail with copies of my correspondence and associated evaluations on Feb. 24 (I have USPS tracking info that it was delivered to CEO's office address on Feb. 26). Attached are copies my updated evaluations, e-mail trail and letter for your record.Another issue is that SMG sent payment for two dates of service in early 2018 to collections that we had no knowledge of until an Experian credit rating was run in Nov. 2020. I reviewed my records and found bill paid and collection agency indicated such, except agency representative said payments were applied in May 2019 (which I do not understand) and I notified SMG to correct credit. As of today, both Experian and Equifax have reduced my wife's credit rating. I tried again in March to have SMG send me a letter indicating the collections was a mistake so I could correct rating.I have never received a returned telephone call to my messages, replies to my e-mails or letter. As of Mar. 10, 2021, I should have a zero balance. According to my latest SMG monthly statement, dated 3/4/2020, we owe approx. $411.00.I have tried to follow-up with the second supervisor and on Mar. 29 she said she never reviewed the e-mail I sent on Mar. 4. I left messages on Apr. 8 and 13. A billing services representative on Apr. 13 relayed that supervisor would call me before Friday. I did not get a telephone call. I do not understand the "game" being played since October or November 2020!
Making an appointment through the call center was a wonderful experience! I spoke with Brenda. She was so kind and patient with me. I had to call back and change appt after she did her best to get the one she did. I was lucky enough to get her when I called back. She made me feel comfortable and truly cared. Thank you Brenda!! Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
