Consummate. Professional

My mother was a patient of Dr. Antonucci's for over 20 years. She ended up in the hospital needing an emergency surgery, her heart condition obviously being a complication and concern and she is also on blood thinners. I called the office to speak to Dr. Antonucci and let him know what was going on and see if he would weigh in and was told they would not call him because he was off, despite her having to have an emergency surgery that could be complicated by her heart condition, which was absolutely ridiculous to me. I get that doctors are allowed to have lives so I accepted being told Dr. Sebastian would call me back because he was in the office that day. He never called me. My mother then called hours later and was fed all of the same information. She also received no phone call back from Dr. Sebastian. These people don't give a damn about their patients.

Dr. Antonucci listens to you and always responds to your questions. He has great "bedside manner".

Wait times may be longer for Dr. Antonucci than for other doctors mostly because he wants to be sure that his patients are comfortable with the information the doctor has given them, will explain why and how to take the prescribed medication again and again in the same visit if the patient needs reassurances; reviews the results of laboratory tests and provides the patient with copies for their home files and genuinely cares about his patients’ welfare. He has a wonderful group of partners who are also excellent but Dr. Antonucci is exceptional in his diagnostic abilities and has an amazing strength in his abilities to calmly discuss what can be frightening information in a manner that helps keep the patient working actively in his or her care plan rather than folding and giving up! I would readily recommend Dr. Antonucci to anyone who wants a great cardiac diagnostician who can easily, simply and thoroughly explain conditions, treatment options and future goals. But be patient!

I had a poor experience here. I understand that a busy practice requires systems. I got over the fact that I did not consult or meet the doctor before all the test got started, then also got over it when he came in when I was going through the stress test and my back was facing his back when he sat at the desk and asked questions while I was out of breath. I have been going to Dr. Antonucci for years. He is an excellent Doctor and does a great job of communicating and not rushing patients. I highly recommend him.
