Dr. David Principe's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Principe and Nicole are amazing! This is my fourth baby, but it’s my first time with Dr. Principe. He took me on as a patient after I changed providers, and he has been incredibly caring and supportive throughout my pregnancy, as well as during labor and delivery. I faced an unexpected complication, but Dr. Principe and St. Joseph Hospital staff took excellent care of me. He assured me not to worry, saying he was there for me, and he truly meant it. I am so thankful to God for having Dr. Principe as my doctor and for the safe delivery of my baby. His staff is also wonderful and always willing to help

The best of the best Dr. Principe was recommended to me by my obgyn Dr. Haddad and he quoted “ If Dr. Principe cannot save your pregnancy nobody can” and he was 100% right he is an angel I was 4 centimeter dilated when he was able to put my cerclage and save my baby. Today I have a beautiful healthy baby girl thanks to Dr. Principe, Dr. Haddad and the wonderful staff at St. Joseph all the beautiful assistants and the nurses I had such a great team heaven sent.

Finding out that I was pregnant with twins was both incredibly exciting and terrifying, but Dr. Principe and his amazing staff were there to support me every step of the way. The staff took a genuine interest in the development of my boys, and quite frankly, at every visit (and there were many), they treated my husband and me like family. There were countless times when Nicole and Dr. Principe made themselves available after hours—whether it was 10 p.m., the weekend, or even while on vacation—to answer questions or offer advice related to my pregnancy. I’ve seen some reviews mentioning his bedside manner, and yes, Dr. Principe can be blunt, but isn’t that what you want when your life or your child’s life is on the line? I was in that very position with one of my twins, and Dr. Principe laid everything out plainly to my husband and me—no sugarcoating. Yet he still hugged me as I cried after hearing the news and personally called every top specialist in the area who he had connections with to ensure we received the answers we needed and the best possible care. As a first time mom, I was terrified of the birthing process, but on the morning of delivery, Dr. Principe’s even keeled and humorous manner helped calm me down and keep my mind off the “what ifs.” Because of Dr. Principe, Nicole, and their staff, my boys are here and are as healthy as can be. We returned to the office after giving birth so the staff could meet the twins, and Dr. Principe was still inquiring about my son’s wellbeing to see if there was anything he could do to help. I cried knowing that I wouldn’t be seeing these people on a weekly basis anymore after they had become such a huge part of my life, but if I ever have more children, without a doubt, I’m going back to that practice. If you want someone who coddles you, sugarcoats things, and lacks a sense of humor, then Dr. Principe isn’t the doctor for you. But if you want a doctor who is an expert, selfless with his time, genuinely caring, able to ease your mind and lighten heavy moments with humor, and who will do everything possible to protect and save you and your baby (or babies), then Dr. David Principe is the doctor for you. Why put a high risk pregnancy in the hands of anyone but the best?

I doubt there’s another doctor who cares as much about his patients than Dr. P. The whole staff is delightful - Nicole and everyone, every time we had an appointment we left laughing and feeling way better about things. High risk twins can be incredibly stressful but Dr. P has a way to melt stress through humor and his unique character haha. He is always on for his patients too. It could be midnight and he’d still field a call if you needed him to make sure everything is okay. I can’t recommend them enough. We visited 3 months after birth just to say hi and thank them. Dr P. Asked about a specific medical condition one of our boys had to make sure things were okay. With all the patients he has and everything on his plate he still remembered the fine details. 10/10 great people and great care

Dr. David Principi is truly a godsend. He wasn’t my original doctor — I was seeing Dr. Rakhi Patel — but when my pregnancy turned high-risk, Dr. Patel referred me to him. And I can say with all my heart that he saved both me and my baby. Dr. Principi may be a strict doctor, but his dedication and expertise are unmatched. I had gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and preeclampsia, and he monitored me closely throughout. When my condition worsened, he made the decision to deliver my baby boy at just 28 weeks. It was the most difficult phase of my life — my baby spent three months in the NICU — but I always had faith that everything would be okay because I knew I was in the best hands. Dr. Principi visited me regularly in the hospital, personally checked on my health, and always kept me informed. Even the nurses told me how highly respected he is — many said he delivered their own babies years ago! I will forever be grateful to Dr. Principi for his care, compassion, and skill. He is truly one of the best doctors in town and will always have my deepest respect and gratitude for bringing my little miracle safely into this world.

Words fall short when it comes to dr principe. He is the absolute best dr. I came to him because of several high risk pregnancies, and i wish i had gone with him since my 1st. He is so compassionate, caring and understanding. He takes the time to listen and is very proactive when it comes to finding solutions to help you and your baby! He was amazing during my delivery, so patient and encouraging. Too bad were done having kids and wont get to see him again but will surely send any pregnant person i know his way! If you want top care and compassion he is the one!!

Had to switch care towards the end of a pregnancy, but Dr. Principe and his team handled the whole situation with care, thoughtfulness, and ease. He listened to my concerns and together we decided what was safest for my child and me, while respecting his expertise. Excellent team, staff, and physician. Thank you so much!

I knew he was good when i came to him. Ive had issues during my pregnancies, and was high risk which is why i came to him, best decision i ever made. Ive never felt so heard and validated during my pregnancies. I felt heard and seen every step of the way. Every question was answered, every concern was adressed. He was so compassionate and patient during my delivery. Having him this time around was very healing for me. I will forever recommend him

Dr Principe & his fabulous NP Nicole Zitomer provided genuine individualized and high quality care to my baby and I during my high risk pregnancy. They made sure I understood everything and answered all of my questions, even the silly ones. The office staff is friendly and attentive. I never had any issues getting an appointment or form filled out. The long wait to see Dr P is worth every minute to be under his care. He was present and amazing during the delivery of my son. I recommend all of my family and friends to this care team...they are the best of the best!
