Dr. Afonja is the best but the staff is the worst. You wait forever just to receive your iron infusions and they do not call you once they submit notice to your insurance. I had to the call the office and then they will say I will call back and then don’t call back. I waited 3 weeks to finally get an answer. Then I get to the office today to do infusion and I’m told not today because there are no doctors. Like they don’t think people have lives are work. Just ridiculous

Bad service and so slow you have to wait 3 hours to be check in

This Dr and owner of Colfax oncology doesn't deserve not even a start, unprofessional the office in Paterson is a Joke, have no training in costumer service, HIPPA and to treat patients with respect, I'm only coming to the office because I have no other choice, the worst place to come

Dr. Richards Afonja's unique approach to medicine has finally given me some answers and the hope I was seeking in order to heal. He is a brilliant doctor with impeccable critical thinking skills. For the past 5 months I have been in the throes of trying to figure out a complex, long term, medical mystery. I have seen seven, separate specialists, (General Practitioner, Endocrinologist, Gastroenterologist, Gynecologist, Rheumatologist, Hepatologist & Hematologist/Oncologist) all of whom have been working in their respective silos, treating only my symptoms. Dr. Richards Afonja turned this model on its head. He was the only doctor willing to view my problem from an overarching, global perspective. He has approached my medical anomaly like a seasoned crime detective would, tirelessly piecing evidence together, across various body systems, in order to find the underlying cause for my symptoms. He is the only doctor who was both smart enough and hardworking enough to put in the necessary work. Although he admitted I was a tough nut to crack, he never wavered until he found the solution, which did not lie within his specialty. I highly recommend Dr. Afonja as the brilliant, compassionate, talented doctor that he is. I am so fortunate to have found him.

Not great not thorough

This medical office has been refusing to give me my own medical records for over a month. That’s illegal. The staff has no idea what they’re doing and it’s a nightmare even to to try and get someone on the phone at this office. Stay far away.

Excelente Dr,muy profesional

The worst doctor I have ever dealt with. Does not care about the patients, I have left 10 messages with his office and tried to reach him with a simple question, he never called back. Office staff is super irresponsible. I am simply appalled that he is allowed to practice here.

Experience with Dr.Afonja was extremely negative . This is a recent review on 2022 Paterson office. Staff appeared to hurried and combative during set up of appointment. Upon arrival at office rudeness and discourtesy were the norm. The Consultation with PA’s was excellent however the interactions with Dr Afonja was hurried total 15 minutes for a serious and complex discussion of breast mass. Would not recommend this practice: it felt like an assembly line . Poor medical experience would not ever use service again.
