Edward J. Barbarito Md's Online Review Report Card

Had a procedure and have been relentlessly pursued by a lab that apparently did a biopsy that was not ordered by me. Office kept saying they would take care of it but 3 years later still getting letters. Also no communication from the Dr on the outcome, a nurse called just to say your ok but to speak to the Dr you have to come in and pay for a visit. He is a competent doctor but his staff is why my family is forced to go elsewhere.

Dr. Barbarito was personable, thorough, comforting and made the procedure as pleasant as possible. The entire staff at the MC surgical Center was excellent!

I am so incredibly disappointed. I was seen by another doctor at this practice, Dr. Demyen, previously who was by far the best doctor I’ve ever seen . Thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. This doctor sadly left the practice. I had my first Telehealth appointment with Dr. Barbarito a few weeks back, he seemed very cordial and prescribed me a medication. I was excited to have a next step to getting my GI situation back to normal. Unfortunately when I went to pick up my prescription I was told it was $1K, which is unusual to say the least as my insurance is pretty good. I had first called the office immediately and the woman who answered stated she would talk to the doctor and they would reach back out to me. After a week with no call back, I had called the office once more to speak with Dr. Barbarito regarding the medication as I obviously couldn’t afford that. The woman on the phone was so disrespectful and stated that me being “unable to afford the prescription was not their problem”, that I had to call my insurance to see what I could afford. All I asked for was a call from the doctor, to let him know I could not fill the prescription and that I was still very ill. She said if I needed to talk to the doctor I would have to schedule an appointment, which would be a week or more out. This was such a terrible experience. In truth, I’m not sure if my messages were relayed to the doctor or not, regardless, the pharmacy did reach out to the doctor/practice with no response as well.

Dr Barbarito had been my dad’s doctor through a few rough patches and he was excellent! I have since experienced a few gut issues myself. Upon speaking to Dr. Barbarito, I feel confident he decided on the proper testing, in order to get to the route of my challenges. Although the Tele-med call was a bit late at the start-time, I felt heard by the doctor. He listened intently & asked very specific questions in order to assess my situation. If you are ok with your appointment time being taken a bit late, you won’t be disappointed. Dr. Barbarito is a caring specialist.

Unfortunately I had to make an appointment due to on going pain. When i called the front desk who answered did not listen to my concerns but instead pushed me away and told me i couldn't be seen. Than after being hung up on i called back to explain that i can pay out of pocket and i even asked for the manager “i am the manager and i need to take another call, good luck finding another doctor” I heard good reviews about the doctor, but unfortunately for this business their unprofessional front desk is ruining the reputation/clientele for these Doctors.

First time patient. Very pleasant experience. He is very professional, as is the staff. I would recommend him to anyone.

Too bad the front office staff including Christina is so RUDE and has no compassion for the elderly not worth the aggravation!! Sorry Dr. Barbarito but will never recommend your office and will not return due to your abrasive front end!

Dr. Barbarito is a very nice person. unfortunately, he has never been able to diagnose the cause of my problems. It is very difficult to get an appointment. I've been in severe pain and was told I'd have to wait up to 6 weeks. One time I showed up for an appointment only to be told I never scheduled one (after waiting for 4 weeks for follow up after being released from the hospital). The office staff is pretty useless. I usually have to wait 30+ minutes once I get in the office. I was having issues, waited 4 weeks to see him and had bloodwork done. No cause found. 9 months later, had same issue, was told my 9 month old bloodwork didn't show anything. Shortly after, was hospitalized with elevated blood levels of enzymes.
