List of Edward J Barbarito's Reviews
Just switched doctors today because office staff is soooo rude! Cant believe all the reviews I've read that say the same thing. Dont they have an office manager?
Dr. Barbaritto is wonderful but very hard to reach! I agree, the front desk can be extremely rude and unsympathetic to what you're going through. Called twice yesterday to discuss test results with the Dr and lady who answered said "didn't you already call?" There is no reason to be rude. Everyone is sick and looking for some guidance and compassion. I can't imagine Dr barbaritto would allow his patients be treated this way. Some of these reviews are years old, with the same complaints so I don't understand why this is accurate
I can’t speak on the doctors themselves but the receptionists were a huge red flag for me and I ended up going elsewhere. Very rude and working in the medical field they should be trained to be a little more mindful of the importance of kindness, knowing most people calling are probably going through a stressful time with their health. I’m just trying to get better, no time for dealing with unprofessional rude people whenever I need to see my doctor.
I read all the reviews and let me tell you that everyone who wrote that the staff are rude were 100% right. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Barbarito. Left a message and had a call back after 2 hours. That lady asked the usual questions. Then said, "Could you hold for a minute?" I said yes. After a minute or 2, another lady got on and asked me how she could help me. I told her that the 1st lady was in the middle of making an appointment for me when she put me on hold. This lady became angry and, in a loud voice, told me that other lady can't make appointments, she's the only one who makes appointments. How would I know that? After asking me questions, she said i could have a virtual appointment in about 7 weeks or an in person appointment in about 11 weeks. I chose in person. She gave me a date and time of 3pm. I told her I work overnights and am asleep at that time. Asked her to please give me an early morning appointment. She became angry, again talking in a loud condescending voice, telling me that there aren't morning appointments. Spoke to me as if I should've known that already. When I said that I will need to find another doctor, she didn't respond and hung up on me. I wish Dr. Barbarito knew how his staff talks to people. There's no excuse for such rudeness and disrespect. Horrible!
The doctor was good but the women in the front office are awful! They are rude every single time I've interacted with them. This office cares way more about paying your copay then what's actually wrong with you. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!
This doctors billing department will cause more stress resulting in physical harm than he could ever heal. Maybe he chose them to keep himself in business.
Had a procedure and have been relentlessly pursued by a lab that apparently did a biopsy that was not ordered by me. Office kept saying they would take care of it but 3 years later still getting letters. Also no communication from the Dr on the outcome, a nurse called just to say your ok but to speak to the Dr you have to come in and pay for a visit. He is a competent doctor but his staff is why my family is forced to go elsewhere.
Dr. Barbarito was personable, thorough, comforting and made the procedure as pleasant as possible. The entire staff at the MC surgical Center was excellent!
Very kind and efficient physician. The staff treats you like family. 👍
I am so incredibly disappointed. I was seen by another doctor at this practice, Dr. Demyen, previously who was by far the best doctor I’ve ever seen . Thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. This doctor sadly left the practice. I had my first Telehealth appointment with Dr. Barbarito a few weeks back, he seemed very cordial and prescribed me a medication. I was excited to have a next step to getting my GI situation back to normal. Unfortunately when I went to pick up my prescription I was told it was $1K, which is unusual to say the least as my insurance is pretty good. I had first called the office immediately and the woman who answered stated she would talk to the doctor and they would reach back out to me. After a week with no call back, I had called the office once more to speak with Dr. Barbarito regarding the medication as I obviously couldn’t afford that. The woman on the phone was so disrespectful and stated that me being “unable to afford the prescription was not their problem”, that I had to call my insurance to see what I could afford. All I asked for was a call from the doctor, to let him know I could not fill the prescription and that I was still very ill. She said if I needed to talk to the doctor I would have to schedule an appointment, which would be a week or more out. This was such a terrible experience. In truth, I’m not sure if my messages were relayed to the doctor or not, regardless, the pharmacy did reach out to the doctor/practice with no response as well.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
