Dr. Zimmerman is very personable and extremely knowledgeable on top of being an elite surgeon! He performed a full Nephrectomy of my left kidney 7 years ago after a tumor was found on the outside of my kidney. The diagnosis was cancer and he has always been attentive and informative while involving me in my healthcare choices. Really goes above and beyond to ensure I understand his approach and treatment plan while truly consulting me as the patient in the decision making process. I recommended my father to Dr. Zimmerman when every other doctor wanted to catheterize him for life. He was able to do what no one else was even willing to attempt and gave my father the best quality of life possible!He now sees my brother in-law and father in-law providing the same exceptional level of care to them!

Dr. Zimmerman made a tough situation easy. To get a cancer diagnosis at 51 and be handled so professionally was such a blessing. Totally recommend. Every step of the way was explained thoroughly and the relationship between doctor and patient was extremely easy. Thank you for saving my life and helping to ensure I’ll be around to see my kids grow .

Dr. Zimmerman is straight forward but has a fantastic bedside manner. Takes the time to explain thoroughly and clearly, answers questions without making you feel stupid. So happy we found him!

DR.Zimmerman was recommended to me from my primary Doctor. I was diagnosed with renal cancer. My experience was nothing but positive from diagnosis to kidney removal. Dr Zimmerman and his team made me comfortable with the whole process. I am currently 25 days post surgery and I’m feeling great. My wounds are healing well and I am happy I went to Dr Zimmerman. I would definitely refer my family to him in the event he was needed. It’s a tough thing to go through , however the right team can be all the difference and this team was !! I’m very thankful for what they can and did, do for me!!!

I was originally a patient of Dr Colton and was sad when he moved but he said he was leaving me in good hands with Dr Zimmerman He did not lie. I’ve been seeing Dr Zimmerman several times a year for many years. He is very knowledgeable,compassionate and great bedside manor. He listens and is truly concerned. Not happy I have to see a urologist regularly but since I have to, I am glad it’s him.

Highly recommended surgeon when I was diagnosed with a mass on my kidney and now I can understand why. He removed a kidney mass that was malignant and he thoroughly explained the entire process and procedure to the extent that I really had no questions. His manner is comforting and he even called me the evening before my surgery - that’s something that’s never happened to me! The follow up appointment was informative and I’m confident in the plan he has for future reviews.
