List of Robert F. Alexander Md's Reviews
I gave this doctors office one star for the receptionist , I believe her name was Sarah. She was phenomenal. Never have I met a doctor who was as unwilling to help a person as Dr. Alexander. He could not wait to have my autistic son out of his office. He could not get his printer to work to offer me another referral so he told my husband the other doctor’s name. He could not even have taken the time to get a piece of paper and a pen and write it down. My son was seen by another doctor who owned this practice and retired. They had his records they knew he was autistic they could have told me when I made the appointment that Dr Alexander did not have the experience or knowledge on how to address me son’s needs. They took the appointment, they took my insurance information but we left that office with no referral, no medication and in a worse situation because my son is now consumed with anxiety. I am heart broken at the lack of respect that children, and adults who are living with autism receive in some doctors offices . Once again to the receptionist I believe Sarah. Thank you for making me feel somewhat comfortable in a heart breaking situation
My husband has been a smoker since he was 11 years old, worked with asbestos and now in his 60's . I trust only Dr Alexander with my husband care. Dr Alexander is extremely thorough. Sends my husband every year for a low CT scan and goes over the results completely and thoroughly with my husband. He cares for the health of his patients and it shows in his practice. The staff very friendly and efficient. Top doctor all the way !!!
I came in to see Dr.Alexander, the woman that asked me my name at the window was a nasty B!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Dr. recommended Dr.A. I'll find someone closer
Dr. Alexander is not the most compassionate Dr. He is ok but I guess because of the amount of patients he has to see on the daily he always seems rushed. His office staff are the nastiest women I have ever met and this is in both the Denville and Randolph office. I have been told by one of the Secretaries that Dr. Alexander will refill my prescription for my emergency inhaler when he comes in tomorrow ...
Dr. Alexander is very thorough in his exams and his explanations of both the issues and resolutions. He doesn't rush the visit and answers questions so that the patient understands all that is being discussed.
Doctor Alexander is very thorough but efficient. For years, I take my 90 year old mom there every 3 months. We have never waited more than a few minutes in the waiting room, usually they take her right in, which is very much appreciated. He takes time to listen to what has been going on where some other doctors are not so patient with a 90 year patient. He makes adjustments to her dosages or switches her to a different medication if it is necessary based on his very thorough examination. The staff has also been very helpful and efficient, when I call in to get mom's prescriptions moved to a different drug store when she stays with me for a few months through the winter. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
This doctor is extremely rude and difficult. He got angry with me for coming to see him after 3 years because my chart was in storage and he did not have it to look at it. He told me I was wasting his time and would have to come back after his staff got the chart out of storage. I pointed out that this could have all been done in advance if the office staff were doing their jobs properly. I will never go back there. Find someone else.
"examined" me from across the room. Laughed at my answers to questions and sent me out of the office telling me I was fine. Went to another doctor a few days later and she ordered x-rays that showed issues with my lungs. Rude behavior and uninterested in actually examining patients. I am very disappointed because I would have loved to go back there as the support staff was excellent.
I was set to be disappointed because I could not see the doctor whom I liked and had seen previously in this practice, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. Alexander is sharp, caring, and very professional. I hope he solved my problem, but will follow up with him (or my previous doctor), if I need to. Office is very pleasing and staff courteous.
So disappointing .. was recommended...but a bad experience. No prior history of allegeries, sinus prblms, lung issues,nonsmoker..I'd been seeing a diff pulmonary group for almost a year, could not get a fix for my grn phelgm in lungs daily. issue. I don't know if he thought I was a bluffing or what, he had all the records from other docs ... but absolutely wrong on the diagnosis (GERD) which had already been dismissed/ruled out by the ENT and gastroenteroligist 10 months be4. Just blew me off- didn't run a sputum sample(of my dark green phlegm- which was ongoing for a year daily), dismissed the low grade fever I ran daily for months.. wrote me a script to fix GERD. Well, I found a doc to run a sputum sample (finally- a non pulmonolgist)- and for over I year i'd had a major fungal infection in my lungs.. just what I kept saying.. noone listens or can think outside the box I guess. But common sense shud have told them if the meds they all tried failed u had to do a sputum sample to determine if viral, bacterial or fungal..This is scary if this is whatrs going on in medical communtity..I can't express how frustrated & furious I am at the pulmonologists I saw for over a year, them NOT running a sputum sample to actually find out what I had and stop it. Now I have to deal with the fallout to try to get it cured and physical damage caused..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
