List of Saint Clare's Denville Hospital's Reviews
I am thankful for the kindness and professionalism of all staff that took care of my mother. Nurse Megan from the PCU was excellent and incredibly caring particularly because my mother does not speaks English. May God continue to bless all the staff to continue with their work. Muchos agradecimientos!
My Dad was admitted to the St Clare’s Denville Emergency Room. The front desk in admissions was very friendly & welcoming. MJ our nurse could not be kinder or more informative. We were also helped by a very nice Dr & other staff. It took a while to get upstairs to a room however once the Hospitalist gave his ok the nurse Becky moved him. My Dad was there 2 more days.Nurses Madison & Julia were incredible. My father was well taken care of & didn’t need to call more than once. Madison/Maddy’s personal attention made all the difference when I had to leave & call in. I felt Dad was being cared for by someone who truly wanted to help him. The night staff was a little tricker to connect with & my father felt it was harder to get help then with his needs. I was there from 11-7 & can say the staff did everything to make my Dad comfortable & take care of him Medically. Helen at the desk helped me with his broken phone & had IT there very quickly.Gloria in the kitchen was so happy to help with his meals. Eileen & Marilyn were wonderful as Case Managers & answered all my questions. Mary the Patient advocate was so kind & helpful. Finally Joann helped with Dads release seamlessly & Marilyn was able to help us with an AmbulateOverall our experience was as good as we could have hoped for in this crazy world. The staff was wonderful & worked very hard all day. I commend St Clare’s for their wonderful staff & efficiency.
When a patient comes to the emergency room with serous issues do not dismiss them claiming anxiety while not doing crucial tests to confirm ! You made a huge error . Especially with people experiencing very unusual complications with Covid now do not assume things are nothing in younger patients. Very very bad !
I could write a book, but for the purpose of giving the general public advice or insight, I would say the ER was good at first but anything beyond emergency acute need, go somewhere else. Avoid staying or getting any medical procedure done here. The place is run down, dirty, lacks supplies and lacks staff. Just seems like they need funding and new management that is actually engaged. I would also say that I had a bad nurse when I was admitted overnight. She refused to provide me a list of the medications they were giving me and could not answer basic questions. If that is not a red flag, not sure what is.
great experience in birth of my Granddaughter,, very friendly, clean and safe
I wanted to let you know that my nurse Rachel and aids Rosa Maria and my night tone nurses were all wonderful.I felt I was in the best care possible.I have chronic severe Hailey Hailey genetic skin disease and I am currently in a very bad full body flare. They were respectful and helpful and very concerned and cognizant of all of my needs to accommodate me and my condition as well as with my needs for the primary reason I was in the hospital for the kidney stone. They were all kind and compassionate I couldn’t have asked for better care from the entire staff here.I also had a very favorable experience with the ER staffOverall I’m so thankful I chose to come here and was given the best care from a well qualified and wonderful staff.
I don’t know what kind of system they use in that hospital, but there’s no communication, no one talks to each other. Scheduled appointment over phone for imaging, gave all my info (Ins, dr., etc.) went in as scheduled, not in system…. Forgot my script, but the fact that I wasn’t even in their system (after both my child’s birth’s, and numerous visits over time for various things mind you…) absolutely amateur hour. If these hospitals actually cut the red tape and bs, they would accomplish so much more. 21st century technology and it’s more difficult than ever to get anything done… smh. And I don’t know about you, but I feel like they only care about your money.. you have insurance? Be sure because no service otherwise…. Or a bill that’ll bankrupt you….
While the care I received at St. Clare's ER was very good, I was later highly shocked and angered upon receiving a bill from the "Emergency Physicians of St. Clare's" learning they are not within the Cigna network as the hospital is! Why would a patient ever question the network of a doctor donning the same name on their ID badge as the in-network hospital. I feel this is a 'bait and switch' tactic where I'm a victim of fraud.
St Clare’s has a great program for patients recovering from cardiac issues. The two part program includes a rehab component that runs 12 weeks, carefully monitored by sharp medical personnel and a maintenance program where graduates of the rehab program can keep the improved heart strength going.I have been through the rehab and now I’m a year into the maintenance. My blood pressure, cardio grams and medication levels are all amazingly good. These folks run a professional, low pressure program that, literally, has made my life better. Thanks to these folks, nurses and physical therapy experts, I have great BP, pulse rates like I’m a kid and energy that surprises my family. This program is keeping me alive and healthy. Consider taking part, it’s a life saver.
After waiting several weeks, many consultations, and testing, I was scheduled for a biopsy that didn't happen because the tech refused to follow through with my doctor's order. Their sister hospital in Dover treated me for an anxiety attack when in reality I was in the middle of a gall bladder attack that could have been much worse. My personal opinion is to find treatment anywhere else by anyone else that won't dismiss your concerns. I will do everything I can to avoid this hospital system. As an update: the lump that was to be biopsied turned out to be an abscess that burst at 3:38 a.m. while I was sleeping. I got a throat full of caustic pus traveling to my lungs and stomach... then a trip to urgent care for a round of strong antibiotics.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
