List of Summit Medical Group's Reviews
I have never written a Yelp review before, but for parents of young children, I recommend going to PM Pediatrics in Livingston before resorting to the urgent care here. I took my ill son, who had a fever, swollen glands, a headache, a stiff and painful neck and a rash here three times: the five medical professionals who saw him, including the practice manager Dr. Smith, misdiagnosed him with folliculitis (cellulitis) and a viral illness. The last professional, a nurse practitioner named Stacy Kolbusch, completely dismissed my concerns on my our final visit when I showed her the annular lesions with central clearing he had on his leg. If she had conducted a clinical exam, she would have seen more on his chest and back. But she was uninterested in any clinical exam and told me she was "not impressed" with the rashes (her words) and suggested I see a dermatologist. She consented to do bloodwork for Lyme and of course three days later, it came back positive. Subsequently, she claimed his rashes were "atypical" -- a quick Google search of the CDC website would show rashes that looked exactly like my son's, which makes me question how well versed this practice is in a common bacterial infection endemic to the area. Luckily, in the three days I had to wait for his results, I trusted my gut and took him to PM Pediatrics, where I found an incredibly attentive and caring staff and a wonderful doctor, Dr. Yvette Young, who WITHOUT a blood test (we hadn't gotten the results back yet) was immediately sure he had Lyme on a careful clinical exam. All in all, if I had taken to her first, he might have been correctly diagnosed and started on antibiotics two weeks ago.
Went here for a covid-19 testing Nicole was soo sweet! she talked me through everything and answered all my questions!!! Very clean place and amazing staff!! i'll definitely be back here for all my medical needs!!
went in with two Cancer problem .. came out with one cancer gone ...still have the a cancer because they can't get the drug.. it's been two year waiting... i think they do a so-so job, so you kept coming back so they can more money... and they gave me a new problem now that i will have for life.. thank's Summit Medical Group for making my life worst then before.. NICE JOB... Look... you have Cancer Please go to a true cancer center.. like M.S.K. or MD Anderson... please trust me you will do better and get better but NOT Summit Medical Group is just a hospital with a cancer dept....M.S.K. & Anderson they do research and work to get you in, and work on the cancer... not just going in and cutting out the cancer every 3 months... like a oil change... so they kept saying the drug is coming , but it never comes ..hope with no end at this place . MD Anderson is a hour and a half for me to drive one way and its worth it.. I have two friends that drove down to MD Anderson. because it's a true cancer center .and now they are cancer free... please, please go to a true cancer not a hospital that says it has a cancer center.... you don't see anyone driving an hour and a half to go to summit Medical cancer center. do you?
Great staff from doctors to administration. Everything you need under one roof. Appointment times are on point. We even switched are children over to Summit from their original pediatrician. I no longer have stress trying to get appointments for myself or anyone in my family.
I had an appointment with Dr. Rowland Chavez and was so pleasantly surprised. Dr. Chavez took an amazingly long time with me going over my med history and listening to what I was saying and asking questions to make sure he understood what I was asking. This was not a drive through appointment as so many offices do. His bedside manner is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this physician for internal medicine.
I am a patient of Dr Benjamin Freeman at the Summit Medical Group.I cannot give enough thanks to Dr. Freeman for his expertise inhandling my diagnosis. He is kind, listens to your concerns andexplains what he plans on doing and why. I would highly recommendhim as your Hematologist/Oncologist. He is truly an assest to theSummit Medical Group.
First two visits were fine. It's a great place if you want them to try to push you into using their doctors and their radiology department no matter if it's an inconvenience for you due to distance. The billing person I dealt with was rude. I had two appointment today back to back. One was cancelled without my knowledge, the other changed to another time and again I was not informed. I drove 50 mins after leaving work early to be told the doctor wants a report from the radiology place and not the disc I brought. The nurses and staff at the front desk all look miserable. The only helpful person at the ent and allergy section is a worker by the name of Celeste. Everyone else looks like they hate their life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They need customer service training.
as a first timer, routine check up and blood work, could not be more pleased with my Physician, and the entire experience. Dr. Bannet was personable, and professional, reassuring and relaxing. A true find in what has become an emotionless profession. She is great. Stella, the lab technician, also personable and professional, plus painless, a real magician with a needle. All in all, a stress free office visit. than you to everyone I met.
The staff and Dr. Rubman are knowledgeable, considerate, efficient, and quick to accommodate appointments. Dr. Rubman explained my injury to me and took sufficient time to go over my options and what I could expect in the future from my injury. I was not pressured into any medical procedure or medicines that I did not need. I appreciated the fact that I was dealt with as a patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Rubman and his staff at SMG in Parsippany.
Best! We love Dr. Badalamenti for our family. She is very warm, super smart and extremely thorough! Would highly recommend her to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
