Easy and secure

Dr. Sweinhart has been my dr. for 20 years now and she is my daughter's pediatrician. Her and her staff are kind, pleasant and accessible. Always ready to take care of us and available. We love them!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sweinhart's for over 15 years. I've always found her office staff to be accommodating and helpful. They have helped with the filling out of paperwork and sorting out insurance issues. Dr. Sweinhart takes her time with me as a patient, doesn't rush and listens to my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Sweinhart to anyone looking for a primary doctor who will take the time to get to know you and your health concerns.

They are willing to do whatever is needed to give us the best care while staying within the confines of our insurance. Calls are returned quickly and Michelle is wonderful both personally and professionally.

Dr. Sweinhart and the staff at Advocate Dover Family Medicine are excellent, courteous, and wonderfully friendly. Dr. Sweinhart takes the time to give you individual attention and takes care of the whole person. Nothing but the best care available!

In searching for a new Dr, I was required to schedule a new patient appointment before I could schedule a physical exam. Upon arriving I waited over 30 minutes. Then I heard a lot of complaints from the doctor in the hallway about things going on in the office that were probably better left said in a more private forum. The new patient exam basically went over prior medical history and got my script for bloodwork. I paid my co-pay and left and made sure to hae my prior medical records forwarded. I had to call back twice after my blood work test came back to schedule my physical. I had very specific questions about a particular test from my blood work that I was given information on over the phone but then that information was contradicted during my next visit. I left before I was told a third version I was asking about. Upon arrival I was given a document to sign regarding billing that was completely blank and told twice “just sign here”. The document is supposed to specify the procedure and proposed price (which was all left blank) and you select whether you elect to continue even if insurance doesn’t bill. I wasn’t even given a minute to read it before being asked to sign it which I think is somewhat unprofessional and leading as they can go in and check off or write in anything once you have already signed. I still don’t have an accurate answer as to my question about my bloodwork concern. Apparently only the office manager can give out a referral so now I have to go back to get that another time (now my third trip for my one requested physical) which is also inconvenient. I also got a bill in January that I was late in a payment of $15 (my copay I had paid at first new patient visit). Two months later in March the $15 in question still has not been resolved, still shows on my account and “they are still working on it”. I’m concerned it will get reported to a creditor because of a system glitch on their end if I don’t keep following up on it (apparently affected many advocare clients in all offices, so they say). I was also told An EKG is not a normal part of a physical for someone my age, which is 38. I am not sure why my previous doctor would have included it since I had no health issues. Perhaps this varies from doctor to doctor. After insisting and get my prior results to them, I got it. However I was still asked at the physical when I had the EKG. It seems that my records I sent over were not even reviewed prior to my physical. I won’t be going to this doctor again. Just a lot of concerns having only gone twice (not sure why new patient appt I got charged for couldn’t have been incorporated into the physical appt that is allowed by my insurance annually) and for having to make several phone calls regarding appointment, bloodwork results (I was told they would call me and I had to call them for results) and billing.

Doctor and staff are great

I'm here in suite 3, to see a doctor for social security disability benefits. It's terrible. You're at the mercy of them, they don't care. There is no entertainment of any kind. No TV, no water cooler, there are books and magazines. It is advised that you bring a phone to past the time. Never bring children here, they will hate you. This place is pure punishment. It's a shame that you have to prove that you're disabled just to get benefits you worked for and put into when you could work. This place sucks the high hard one.

Its a shame that I need to write a bad review but they left me no choice. This office cares more about profits over people health. Especially when you lose your job along with your health coverage and all you need is to reup on your medications that has help making myself a better fucntioning person. The office staff change their story alot and Lindsey was the worst. Very rude, lack any empathy and rather hang up than work thru the issues. Its a shame since Dr Sweinhart is exceptionally medical provider. Not to mention office hours are unrealistic for most people work schedule.
