List of Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Morris County's Reviews
If we have to go to a long term acute care hospital, we wouldn't want to go anywhere but Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ. Staff members have treated us so sweetly and respectfully. What we love about this place is everyone is so positive despite a scary diagnosis or situation and makes us feel at ease. From the very first day we were being taught how to use the vent machine and shown tips and techniques so that we would be able to safely take care of our loved one at home. Staff went out of their way to comfort our loved one when she was uncomfortable or anxious. We trust that our loved one will be in great hands here so when she had to go back to a long term acute care hospital again we chose Kindred Hospital without hesitation. Special shout out to Anne Marie, Shabrina, Eve, Andre, Ben, Edgar, Avalon, Karen, Liji, Jessica, Kim, Dorothy, Rachael, Julie, Yasemin, Kathy, Debbie, Tasneem, Reine, and Laura. We love so many others and the list is too long to write. Thank you so much to everybody at Kindred Hospital.
From rehab specialist. Scott to his people that he brings to get me to walk again they really care about getting me to my goalThe nurses all are very mindful of my injury needs this is probably the best that I have been in hospital patient care. Thank you
My family member was a patient at Kindred Hospital New Jersey- Morris County. The initial part of the stay was during a Covid shutdown and there was no visitation. I would get an update from both shifts each day. The nurses never got tired of me asking questions and were very thorough with their updates. When we could finally visit, it was apparent the medical staff went out of their way to form personal connections. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
Edit: after posting my review I was then told to relay all my concerns to the front desk or tell the supervisor instead.
I am currently a patient here and been here for about a month I would say now Ralph is one of the best nurses aids and I've like some other people here as well !
The staff were very friendly and very helpful. They helped me recover quickly and I thank them for that. I recommend Kindred.
Care here is terrible. Our family member was here and needed help getting adjusted in her bed from time me to rime. She was constantly told she was aggressive (not true), and that they had other patients besides her to care for, really why would you tell a patient that? They also told her at one point that no one would be back to help her. I do not recommend this facility at all, some of the aides and nurses on the Kindred floor need to take some training in compassion.
Mom has been here for about 2 weeks and we have found everyone very caring. The entire staff has been very patient with family members and willing to spend time explaining and helping to understand mom’s progress. Her care has been wonderful.
I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star, but sadly in order to be able to actually leave a review I had to pick something. Quite frankly I'm surprised by all of these positive reviews because I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The lack of cleanliness, carelessness, and negligence this place has is unreal (please see attached picture). I truly am so disgusted that these people are supposed to be caregivers and they couldn't have cared any less. Please note this was PRE covid, so staffing definitely was not an issue.
I extremely surprised to see the rating for this Kindred facility. Has someone that get assigned to different Kindred locations in North Jersey. I can honesty say this one is the worst. The cna and respiratory techs are incompetent and lazy. I had a private patient there for 5 days a week 7-3. I was the one who clean and changed her clothing and bedding. Every morning I came and found her exactly how I left the previous day.I had the case for months until I reported some issues to one of the respiratory tech there regarding how the other tech was treating my patient. The patient was in distressed, I was looking for her and could not found her. She was assigned to my patient for a week, she barely came to the room. Next thing I knew the patient's husband called the agency and reported me for not caring for his wife. He said the staff at the hospital informed him of my negligence. The staff follow each other blindly. After several encountered, I told the agency to find me a new case.I really hope administration had clean up some of the things I observed there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
