List of Marcia A. Dover Md's Reviews
Office is horrible and they all have a bad attitude…. I stopped going there. Sham!!
She may be a great Dr but her staff is nasty and very rude.
The staff is rude and not concerned with patients at all. After waiting to see Dr Dover I was told Im going to see Dr Stephen. No comparison between the two. When I objected I was told to find another practice. Never go to this office !!!
I needed an emergency visit due to my neuro I used for years leaving practice suddenly. Dr. Dover was the closest neuro to me but did not have an appointment for 2 months so I needed to make an appointment with my primary. Fine. When I got an appointment with her, I could not find Dr. Dovers office because I thought the office building was abandoned because it was an absolute slum. Got to the office, waited awhile. Ok whatever. Finally got in the room, and she stated I needed labs due to slight decreases in blood work ran 6 months prior from my yearly physical. I work healthcare; this is a typical finding in blood work. She demanded I get this before she gives me another dose of medication I need for get through the day without chronic migraine headaches I have dealt with since I’ve 13 years old. This was also borderline from being within normal range. Completely an unneeded lab snd a waste of time and money. I go to the pharmacy a few days later for my medication, and find out Dr. Dover forgot one of my preventative migraine medications. I usually get a script for a few months but she forgot the entire dose. Luckily the on call doctor gave me month supply but not long enough before I needed to get another doctors appointment and spend more money for another speciality copay since she did not do her job. I got a call today from the office that I have an appointment today telling me about my appointment scheduled for next week but they need to change the time. I am the patient, this is my time. I am paying you. Totally unprofessional on all ends. Cleanliness, charting, not knowing what dose of medication I’m on, and telling me I need to come at a different time. If I could rate this practice negatively, I would. I am being kind and giving slack from someone who is a tired healthcare worker, works in a hospital and in a healthcare schooling program. This was unacceptable on many ends. Will not be going back.
My experience was really good with Dr Dover. Office staff was nice as well.
Go to her if you want minimum care and rude staff.
Dr. Dover is a great Doctor, she care about her patients deeply and she is very experienced and knowledgeable. She takes her time examining and makes you feels like a family. the office staff are very nice.
She doesn’t listen, and puts words in it mouth. It has been one of the most frustrating things. I told her I had nerve pain and the next time I went she said I didn’t know that. Told me I had anxiety when I didn’t.
If I could give negative stars I would! I called this office this morning to try to get an appointment. The doctors there need to realize that their staff represent them. Their staff is rude and heartless. You know when the woman (and I use that term extremely loosely) on the phone won’t even tell you her first name that she knows she does not want to be called out for her behavior. Then she has the nerve to wish me a Merry Christmas. Do realize that I just spilled my guts to you on how I was feeling and was asking for medical help. This is what you did. I bet you were also a bully in school. By the way, my name is Tina Lawrence and I am not embarrassed to tell you. I will be contacting my doctor who recommended your office to me to tell them they made a big mistake.
My wife was referred to this neurologist in Hackettstown NJ for a consult from which she had a nasty fall injuring her neck, shoulder, back and has extreme numbness down her arm, hand and fingers, every day she has pain. The doctor came in and spent literally a whole 10 minutes poking at her hand with a final recommendation that she had carpal tunnel condition, not even taking in consideration what she just told her. Before this fall my wife never saw a doctor other then for the flu. At the end the doctor wanted to make sure she filled out the paperwork to see if she was depressed...yeah for being there, probably got paid for that survey. It's all about the insurance money... It was as if she was in a clinic...in and out in under 15 minutes. The office was not as nice or clean as you would think a doctor's office should be. Now, I have to look for a doctor that will actually listen and ask you questions. I'm a professional and never give my clients sub par attention.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
