List of Steven Stecker Md's Reviews
Dr. Stecker did an incredible job on my total hip replacement. And Saint Clare's Hospital was top notch.
Miss his old staff, the new ones are NOT nice, love the x-ray technician.
I went to Dr. Stecker unable to walk, after Doctors had fat shamed me. Saying the only thing wrong thing some extra weight. Not Dr. Stecker, he looked at my films and had a plan right away. I needed a hip replacement and I have never felt better! No pain, and walking, I had a great experience with the staff. Nothing overlooked or undone. If you’re in pain check Dr. Stecker out.
Excellent, caring physician. I have seen him for many years. Willing to spend time with you when needed. Had my right hip replaced with no issues. Very reasonable regarding trying therapies and not immediately jumping to surgery. I have had no billing issues or other issues with the clerical staff.
Really dissatisfied & disappointed in his surgical expertise. If you need surgery of this type, I’d recommend shopping around & going elsewhere.
Dr Stecker is awesome, every time I visit he spends the time to explain my issue and the recovery process, most importantly, never pushes for extreme solutions.
My daughter was under his care for a knee injury sustained during a soccer tournament. He was never completely sure of the diagnosis from the beginning, performed a knee arthroscopy and still was undecided as to what the medical issue was....even after several post-surgical follow up visits. He did not and, apparently, could not properly diagnose and treat this sports injury. Dr. Stecker left her in constant pain with a diminished lifestyle. I do not have confidence in him as a doctor and if, as an athlete, you feel that you want to seek a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th opinion then I urge you to do so. What is obvious to me is that Dr. Stecker appears to be very focused on collecting the small balance due him. I wish he had displayed the same degree of determination in resolving my daughter's injury. When a doctor cares more about the balance due him and is not concerned with the fact that he failed to achieve results then there's not a lot left to be said.
Doctor Stecker is one of the best orthopedic surgeons. When I had my ACL reconstruction, I not only gained range of motion back quickly but was way ahead of schedule during my rehab. He is the sports doctor for the US national hockey team and has a lot of experience in top level sports medicine. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I have been seeing Dr Stecker for years now helped me through many injuries. His whole staff is wonderful!
They wasted my time. I left the place confused & disturbed. (And unattended) After 1 hour waiting, finally someone called me to get in. At that point the nurse asked me to pick 2 parts of my body and if I had another pains I had to come back another day(I have neck, shoulder, hips and knees in pain,it was impossible to pick 2 for me) They alleged that I should complete the paperwork online...but no one told me to do it when I called for un appointment. So...they called me 20 min after I got there. Then another 20 back and forth with the paperwork and another 20 inside the office waiting for the nurse .then ,I finally decided to leave.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
