List of Joshua D. Balog's Reviews
Not terribly impressive. Seems competent, but nothing to write home about. However, his group has the absolute worst front office people I have ever encountered. The chief culprit is the office manager, who happens to be the senior partner's wife (talk about job security). I have never seen a more rude, obnoxious, uncaring individual in all of my 65 years of dealing with professional offices. Not only is she incredibly rude to patients, she is even worse with patients' spouses. GO ELSEWHERE
Dr. Balog is a doctor who really cares about his patients. He took the time to make sure I understood everything he was talking about and answered all my questions. I feel I'm in good hands with Dr. Balog
He is personable, caring, knowledgable and skilled. I would definitely recommend.
I visited several doctors before I found Dr. Balog. He is personable, very forthcoming with necessary information before you ever need to ask a question. He is a very competent physician and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a really good doctor for arrhythmia.
He is easy to talk to, extremely professional and just a GREAT doctor. He was recommended to us and we would recommend him to everybody. Gives a thorough examination and discusses everything with you on a level that you would understand. He answers ALL you questions with great knowledge and you just don't feel rushed. He has extreme patience and, even answered all the questions by my wife. Not many doctors do that.
Have been taking my elderly mom to this office for quite a while. Have NEVER liked the office atmosphere, but tolerated it because mom liked her main cardiologist. Over the years, I have overheard the office staff yelling back and forth to each other, and, even worse, the office manager yelling at the poor young staff who are in training - making everyone in the waiting room sit there uncomfortably - like listening to parents argue in front of their kids. It's one of the most uncomfortable situations I've ever endured. Recently, we were referred to Dr. Balog, and the experience was awful. Without much discussion, he blindsided my 85 year-old mom with needing a pace maker, and tried to get her to make a decision on-the-spot (mentioning that he would be on vacation in two weeks so he wouldn't be around). And, this was after I had explained that her recent fall had left her without the use of her right hand and she was having memory issues due to hitting her head. Yet, he proceeded to try to get her to commit to a medical procedure that would render her left hand useless while the implant healed - and one that she might not have remembered consenting to after it was over. He might not have thought he was overwhelming her, but one look at her face, while he was rapidly delivering his diagnosis, would have told him otherwise. Too bad, he didn't take enough time to actually consider her feelings. Needless to say, the way my mom is treated by a medical professional is just as important as the care she gets. And...that is exactly why we are now officially DONE with that place.
Dr. Josh Balog is a very exacting & precision minded human being who cares truly for his patients and their well being! All those other reviews regarding his staff including the Nurses & Office Staff are true...but I found the only way that changes or changes are made is when you bring your disappointments to the doctor and verbally tell him unless things change with his staff you will not be back! Believe me it works!
Dr. Balog is more than competent. His office staff is atrocious. Rude, incompetent. It's an embarassment.
The office manager is a horrible person. She has no respect for patients. She just told me a patient delay the treatment and died in heart stroke. She made a last thread on my health and hang up the phone on me. I have never seen anyone behaves in such terrible manners in the health industry. The doctor himself is OK. But the Office Manager makes the whole service just a terrible experience. If I give the doctor 2 stars, The Office Manager deserves "minus three stars".

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
