List of Ronald Lau's Reviews
Really disappointed in their office practices. My husband and i have been patients of dr. Laus for almost 10 yrs. I havent been in a few years , mostly due to covid. They said im removed as a patient and have to wait a minimum of 6 months for a new patient appt, and with a different dr. Apparently i should have forced myself to the dr.s office in the middle of a pandemic to ensure i dont lose my spot at their office. That being said, i really liked the dr, but this bad practices
Called for an annual physical (last one was 4/2019) and was told since it is over 3 years (factor in 2 years of COVID) I am now considered a "new patient" and must go on a waiting list. I've been using Dr. Lau for about 25 years (since he was in Highland Park) and since I'm a healthy person I very rarely go. Does this make any sense?
My father was a patient of Dr Ronald Lau for about a decade but unfortunately, my father passed away from heart failure at 63 last year. Although my father’s death isn’t caused by any of Dr Ronald Lau’s direct actions, I do believe my father’s death from sudden cardiac arrest could have been prevented if it wasn’t for Dr Ronald Lau’s inactions and negligence. My father had no known cardiovascular complications (he did have high cholesterol) during his visits with Dr Ronald Lau in the past decade. However during all his visits, not once did Dr Ronald Lau recommend my father to do any tests/x-rays/EKG to screen my father’s heart health. Had Dr Lau had the appropriate preventative heart health conversations and performed general heart screenings with my father (which is common practice to do for patients in my dad’s age range), we would have been able detect my father’s enlarged heart and clogged arteries earlier on and taken the necessary steps to prevent the catastrophic event that led to my father’s passing. I have not met Dr Ronald Lau and do not know him personally but if you are reading this review, please do consider my story as an insight into Dr Lau’s practice.
Horrible office management. Scheduled an June appointment in January . Made it very clear I am a new patient. Was told in May that it was postponed to December because I am a new patient . Glad I am not seeing this doctor because how can you trust an office to deal with your health when they can’t even straighten up their schedule?

Well wasted my time with RWJ cranbury associates. I booked an appointment through the website a week in advance. Many reminders were received and requested me to check-in online. Spend about an hour filling all my personal and medical information. Just the day before the appointment, the office left a message that the appointment was canceled. Called the office and asked for the reason why the appointment was canceled. The lady said that I made the appointment from my chart and that is not valid. Asked me to wait on the phone but cut me off. Called again and transferred to booking again. The booking did the same song and dance and gave me an appointment in April 2022. Wow, what a disappointment and waste of patients time. Asked to speak to the manager but was informed that they are on vacation. .
He is one pf the best diagnostician's. He is extremely thorough. He takes his time, answers questions, never has rushed me. He has taken care of my children since birth. I am a lifelong patient. He was at the hospital after all my children were born, he would come even in the late night. He checked the children when they were born and then assured me that they were healthy. I have never had a bad experience with him.
Dr. Lau has been our family physician for many years. He is wonderful. He is calm, knowledgable, caring, never rushes you, very thorough, and understanding. He has taken very good care of us and we appreciate him very much. He’s the kind of doctor everyone should be lucky enough to have.
Terrible staff, Doctors lack of advocation or proactive advising of preventative care. - I tried to give the team grace, but I have been a patient of Dr. Laus, since before I was a young child. For some time, I was uninsured and did not schedule check-up appointments since I constantly was on the road with my job. When I finally got my heath care in order and moved back to this area, I tried to schedule an appointment. I was told by his (very unfriendly) staff, that I was no longer a patient of his and he would not accept me as a patient. My family still continues to go to his office, even though they are not happy. I have been advocating for them to find another doctor. They agree but do not know where to turn. Thank goodness I found healthgrades!
The most caring doctor I have gone to in years!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
