I have been a patient of Dr Cary Silverman for over 3 decades with parents also patients of his when they were alive. Over the past many years, because Dr Silverman is very busy, I have been given appts with Dr Nicholas Xanthos so my children have also been patients of Dr Nicholas Xanthos since they were young and go yearly for exams. My middle daughter who is away at college recently had pink eye. She could not get an appt at the college health center for a week. I called Dr Nicholas Xanthos for help. Dr Nicholas Xanthos said that he could not help because she wasnt seen in the office for her yearly which was overdue by just a couple months. She didnt go for her yearly because she is away at college! I was shocked! I am so bothered by his response! My 20 year old daughter has been a patient since she was young… has been going yearly for exams until she left for college. Such horrible treatment and response by Dr Nicholas Xanthos. Beyond disappointing. Literally turned his back when needed most.

I had been to an eye doctor in my area and had cataract surgery. I had gotten the expensive lens that the insurance company doesn't pay for. My eyes were wonderful before I had the surgery but terrible after. I went to my GP and he told me to come here. They had to laser holes in my lens but told me there was not much more I could do. I am sorry I did not come here first because I don't think I would have the problem I have now if I had come here. Dr Xanthos is a kind caring man and I will continue coming here even though I live in Newton.

I’ve been at that practice for about 25 years and have seen Dr X for the past 10 at least. I love his personality and he’s very caring. He got me into an eye surgeon on a Saturday after discovering that I had a retina problem and even offered to drive meif I didn’t have a ride
