I will say a few are kind and honest. The front desk needs to be more attentive to people personal life and most of all their feelings. This week I didn’t feel valued as a customer/ patient. I’ve had the worst experience Trying to restore my confidence but more importantly I am getting married soon. Here is my issue: My 1st appointment was On February 18th that appt I got a cleaning and evaluation to restore my teeth. I already knew I needed a root canal from a prior dentist that is Broken and is getting worse! I made my appointment for February 27th at 1:30PM. I kept getting these messages to confirm my appointment but due the nature of work I do I cannot be on my phone I work in sensitive area In a Government facility. Phones are not allowed and I am constantly moving. Due to the nature of being a parent and working and going to school sometimes I forget. My life is busy! However, the evening I got home on the 26th I confirmed the appointment via text message. My 2nd appointment was on February 27th on that day I was called stating that the dentist wasn’t available and I didn’t confirm my appointment. I told them yes I did then the young lady stated the office was closed so my question was why send a text to confirm when the appointment was already made. I then explained then that I have a job and I work around my children schedules not only that I have to save my time due to any emergency that may come up with my kids. Then the tone changed and she then told me I would be accommodated. Then I get a phone call at 12:30 asking if I can be there by 1PM, luckily I always think ahead I was already in route to the dentist. When I got to the appointment the dentist kept saying there is no tooth at the bottom to do a root canal I kept telling her I know what tooth needs a root canal I went to dentist prior coming to you. It is not the tooth adjacent to the bottom one that is missing the one that is broken needs the root canal. The root canal was stated and honestly I am not aware of which tooth was worked on. I do know on that day that because of Ramadan the dentist was in a rush which is now why I see why they tried to cancel my appointment. So after this procedure was completed I was given a list of appointments that was available I was told on March 10th then I was on March 20th at 4PM. So between that time I kept getting text message saying my appointment was on March 21st at 4PM, this annoyed me because of the recent events. I explained my appointment is for March 20th at 4PM. On March 16th my birthday someone called me numerous times I was very upset it was my birthday I already can’t enjoy it due to having a root canal and the recent events that took place. March 17th I called a text message to confirm my appointment was for March 20th at 1PM, now I’m pissed off because don’t try to change my schedule for me! Then on March 20th I show up to my appointment as scheduled the receptionist tells me my appointment was for yesterday mind you I got nothing documented saying my appointment was yesterday and nothing was ever confirmed that appointment was scheduled for the 19th. But I wasn’t in NJ ON THIS DAY AND KNEW I WOULDN’T BE SO I WOULD NEVER SCHEDULE THAT DAY. Then I’m told because of EID The dentist isn’t in. I said why was the appointment made understand this make me look like I’m dishonest with my job and I am messing up my schedule with my kids! I am highly disappointed and frustrated. That someone voluntarily went in the computer and changed my schedule. Now I was given a new appointment but to be honest I’m very unhappy and uncomfortable. Respectfully I too am Muslim and I understand that significance of why EID is Alhamduiallah, but my point is don’t mess with peoples time, it was extremely unprofessional. Then it places like this want to overcharge your insurance then I read the paper work it was for the wrong tooth!!!!
