List of Jerry Bagel's Reviews
I saw Doctor Bagel for very progressed psoriasis as well as sun damage. I sought him out after I moved and needed a new dermatologist. His education seemed impressive. I was on a biologic from my former dermatologist for psoriasis which I hoped he would continue. He did not. In a dismissive, cold fashion he advised me that I did not have psoriasis and proceeded to do a biopsy on an area of sun damage and dismissed my thoroughly covered legs and arms covered in psoriasis. My attempts to ask questions and try to explain my previous years long struggle with psoriasis he curtly shut me down. I brought my pathology report from previous doctor indicating psoriasis. He ignored it and again told me that I did not have psoriasis. After a couple of visits he prescribed me Fluorouracil Cream for sun damage. I was to do both upper arms for two weeks followed by forearms for two weeks followed by same in legs. I was sent away for four months. The cream gets absorbed into your system and can make you as sick as chemotherapy treatments. All of my psoriasis was aggravated and spread even more. Doctor’s Bagel’s dismissive behavior and pretty much toxic anger caused me suffering I did not need. I was later diagnosed by a different person who saw the psoriasis immediately and restarted the biologic. She also treated my sun damage. I finally feel human again. I would not recommend Doctor Bagel at all. He is no guru on psoriasis.
I have been seeing Dr. Bagel for many years. I have not met a better doctor. He helped me so much with my psoriasis. When I first went to see Dr. Bagel my skin was very bad and so was my mental state because of the way I looked. Today my skin is clear and living much more comfortable because of the way I look today. I can't thank Dr Bagel enough for what he has done for me. Lexie and Jennifer are great. They show they really care about you as a person. Thank You all so much.
I was sent to Dr. Bagel by another Dermatologist ,a well respected one from Hamilton, who felt that Windsor Dermatology had the advance equipment needed to help me. . I have had psoriasis for over 50 years, I’ve seen dozens of dermatologists throughout the years. When a doctor who Specializes in the same field as you and sends his patient to you that speaks volumes.
worried more about marketing than treatment
The doctor did not review my document with my history before treating. He made serious error before treating me My wife, my nurse and I told him that I had low placelets. He did not listen and treated me which caused me to bleed profusely. Spent only 3 minutes with me. Disregarded me. His assistants had to bandage me up.A week later I still have bloody scabs on my scalp where he sprayed.Without knowing any thing about me he treated me. Did not review my history before treatment. Gave no "doctors orders" to me so could not get treatment after he treated me.
I have seen him several times and the only reason is he does participate in clinical trials and new medications. He is rude, does not spend much time with the patient and rushes through appointment. You almost feel like you are in an assembly line in a factory rather than a caring physician’s office. Truly surprised that he has many 5 star reviews!
Terrible experience with Jerry Bagel. Went for psoriasis check up but got two skin biopsies for melanoma screening in less than 5min of seeing my skin conditions. No discussion on family history or if it is changing shape or size… of course it came back negative… the worst is that one of the wound got infected very badly, revisited a month after and got antibiotics cream… however not working… called nurse after 5 days of treatment and seeing no signs of getting better, but was told to wait for 10 days because the prescription said 7-10 days… so wait for more pain and suffering for unnecessary biopsies… is that how your dermatologists making fast money by cutting patients skins?
I never ever write reviews but Windsor Dermatology, I feel, is seen as a top “luxurious” space for anything and everything skin care and cosmetic procedures and a very popular place for many people so I feel I must leave this review. I made an appt last minute because I had a painful bump on the back of my head and wanted to get it checked out quick because it’s affecting my sleeping. I was so thankful they could see me the next day. Check in process/ checkout process and wait time were all fine. The two ladies who checked me in and out at the front desk were very nice and friendly. Copay was seriously expensive and can’t wait to be charged for the cortisone shot I received. Dr. Bagel was very nice but everything was rushed. When I was brought back the room, the attendant (I’m assuming the scribe or medical assistant) was more obsessed with playing with her hair than paying attention to what I was explaining to her about my skin issue. She kept checking herself out in the mirror in the patient room and smacking her gum. Then she left the room and I could hear her and Dr. Bagel heading toward my room while the medical attendant was shouting all my personal information in the hallway (where other patients can clearly hear- certainly some sort of HIPAA violation there). Then Dr. Bagel comes in and starts asking about my job and my age (which I didn’t really care for) and I showed him the spot on my head that was causing me pain. He maybe looked at it for 1 millisecond and determined it was a cyst and “benign” and said I could get a cortisone shot or have it removed and be stitched up. I went with the shot as I’ve had cortisone shots before in other areas of the body and they’ve worked but the whole “visit” seemed rush. He was in and out in maybe 1 minute… 2 minutes max?? I asked one question and I was barely able to fit it in before everyone rushed out of the door. You guys may think this is efficiency but what happened to patient care? Being able to schedule appointments the same week as calling is nice but if I’m spending more time checking in than speaking with the doc, something is wrong. Stop scheduling back to back to back appointments and actually give enough time for the doctor to come in, sit down and have a meaningful conversation.
I have been seeing Dr. Bagel for over 7 years. I started with a really bad case of psoriasis and had no idea what was wrong. I had severe pain, bleeding, cracked skin, sores and swollen hands and legs. He knew exactly what was wrong and helped immediately. Over the years he offered new medication to get faster results and not allow my skin to be in such bad shape ever again. I was offered trials on the medication I was taking at no additional expense to me and even was compensated for participating. His appointments are quick and to the point. No long waiting in the office and he is attentive! He listened to my issues offered solutions and was empathetic and genuinely cared to help me. He knows what he is doing and doesn't beat around the bush. Very straight forward and cares about his patients . Thank you Dr. Bagel. Best choice I made was visiting you 1st .
I’m not usually one to write reviews but I just had the worst appointment I’ve ever had with Jerry Bagel. He was extremely unhelpful and rushed the visit to the point where I had to ask to front desk if I could talk to someone else to get my questions answered after Jerry Bagel left. Unfortunately I was sent back in with Jerry bagel, who I’ve determined barely knows how to explain anything about psoriasis even tho he is a “psoriasis expert.” DO NOT USE JERY BAGEL HE IS AWFUL!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
