List of Central Jersey Hand Surgery's Reviews
Dr Pess is the best in the world. I've been going to him for years and it is because of his expertise that I can use my left hand.
I just had two carpal tunnel surgeries on my hands. I highly recommend Central Jersey hand and surgery. Dr. Rushkin was my surgeon. I felt very confident in his ability and understanding of my problem has a wonderful personality. My experience from beginning to end with his team was a great experience. Dr. Rushkin is a credit to his profession. I'm sure all of the doctors are excellent. Also like to mention Neurologist Dr. Gennaro who performed my nerve test. Thanks too everyone that was a part of my procedure. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year. Sincerely, Vincent Libero
I’ve posted this review before but can’t find it so I’m posting it again. First let me say that the office in Ocean on industrial way is the best office I’ve ever had to deal with in my entire life! They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and are excellent in customer/patient service. I’ve been going to this office for 5 months and have never had any issues. In fact they are proactive in handling all the problems that could or would arise. Kudos to who ever hired them. Now I also want to thank Dr Ruskin for his outstanding care of my hand. From my very first visit till my last he always listened to me! Not many Dr’s do that. He explained everything he was going to do for my hand and told me all possible outcomes. He’s a very unassuming person, with a very pleasant demeanor. I never felt rushed or dismissed, these are characteristics that I need in a Dr. I also want to mention his nurse that comes in before him, he also has the same qualities that make you feel seen and heard! I encourage everyone that has any hand issues at all to visit this office to and see Dr Ruskin. You will NOT be disappointed.
Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The surgeon was Dr Fidorcik, I will not recommend him nor Central Jersey Hand. My post-op instructions were to return for my first appointment on day 7. However, when I called to make the appointment, I was surprised to learn that the surgeon who performed my surgery had gone on vacation, and my follow-up had to be with another doctor in the practice. It was clear my surgeon left no notes or instructions because the covering doctor simply unwrapped and rewrapped my cast and instructed me to stay in it for another 10 days, telling me to return on day 17 post-op to start physical therapy that day. I followed the covering doctor’s instructions, but when I returned on day 17, my original surgeon told me that physical therapy should have started a week (seven days) after surgery. So if that is the case then why didn’t he leave instructions for the covering doctor to do that? There was no communication between the doctor who did my surgery and the covering doctor. If he truly cared about his patients, he should have communicated this to the office or the covering doctor to tell me at the post-op appointment, or even if he told my spouse post-op but no the surgeon did not. When I questioned my surgeon why his covering doctor did not start me on physical therapy as he intended at day 7, all he could say was that it was a “miscommunication”. Instead, due to the lack of communication between the doctors, I was left in a cast for 17 days, resulting in a large buildup of scar tissue and the result is that my fingertip will not bend as it should and it is also stuck awful position. Also, it seems the nerve repair was unsuccessful because my finger is still numb/pins and needles feeling 6 months later. I stuck with physical therapy for about five months - following through to the end of treatment, never missing a session or an at-home exercise. I did everything I could to strive for the best results possible, but due to poor—or frankly, no—communication between the doctors, I ended up with poor results.
Had both wrist done for carpal tunnel with Dr Ruskin he’s the best. I can finally sleep through the night no more pain.Would definitely recommend him. My Mom has trigger finger she said she wants to see if he excepts Medicare.
I had my second surgery for giant cell tumor of my right thumb last August. I could see after my second surgery that my tumor was not completely removed. Because the skin was still sticking out. Then this June, I had a large tumor on my finger joint, so I had another surgery this month. And after seeing the surgery pictures that this doctor showed me, I could see that he intentionally did not remove the tumor completely in the second surgery. I wonder why he did that. By the way, I am Asian and my English is not perfect. Two of my friends who I know well had their surgery done by him and I heard that he is a very good doctor and I thought the same thing, but now I am very disappointed.
The doctors are great along with the office staff. The surgical coordinator got back to be in reasonable time with available dates for my surgery. Quality of care was top notch.
Friendly staff and doctor. Writing the negative review as at the end of my visit I asked for any type of splint for my thumb. I received a piece of plastic with tape around it which was useless (took it off when I got home) in which they then added on as an extra $130 charge. Would not have accepted it if I knew this would be extra. Ended up going to Walgreens to get an actual splint for my thumb. Would consider going elsewhere. Billing department would not take it off my bill.
Poor Dr. Fedorcik had to endure me for a second opinion LOL! I never thought I would be so pleased with a scar. He has an amiable bedside manner and I loved that he takes it personally for his patients to have the best outcome. He is everything you would want in a hand surgeon. I highly recommend him.
Great skillful caring doctor, wonderful staff, first class facility. Accident happened, but I am glad that I have Dr. Ruskin and his staff members guiding me through the difficult process. Thumb up for all!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
