List of Jonathan E. Teitelbaum's Reviews
My baby was constantly spitting up and not gaining weight. Dr. suggested goat milk. I found an organic brand from Europe name Hipp and found they had a goat milk and I purchased a 3 pack. I was nervous to switch but the doctor said it would be fine as its so gentle. She drank the entire first bottle and my jaw dropped. I waited to see if it was just luck but no, she drank the next bottles after that, wow. I cannot believe I wasted so many months on cow's milk and my own pediatrician not recommending this to me. All she said was lets make another appointment to the Gastro... and another trip and more stress to my child. I would recommend Hipp Goat milk wholeheartedly. We bought the Dutch version but they have a German version also. So many companies ship it directly from Europe. And it's the same if not less than US formula- which is always being recalled. Wonderful product. I cannot recommend it enough. I also found a better pediatrician. Win Win.
Thank you for correctly diagnosing my daughter when others could not. We are very happy with our experience and will continue to be seen by your office!
My daughter had Functional Abdominal Pain when she was 10. Dr. Teitelbaum was caring, skilled, and accessible. She is 20 now and I’m posting this review because I will forever be grateful for both his expertise and compassion during this traumatic time in our lives.
Beware. This doctor prescribed my extremely young child miralax. My daughter was born with a very rare gastro disease and that medication shouldn't be given to children really at all in the first place, nevermind a very small 2/3 year old baby with a rare intestinal disease. I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. That could have killed her. Just trying to save children's lives who might be compromised.
Dr. Teitelbaum is clearly very knowledgeable and up to date on research. He has published multiple studies of his own. I appreciate that he considers the whole child and not just one specific condition when determining treatment options. He makes an effort to get to know his patients and chats with the child instead of only addressing the parent. His follow up is excellent, he is responsive to questions between appointments and I trust his judgement completely. Highly recommend this doctor to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist.
I highly recommend Dr. Teitelbaum, and his staff. They're professional, courteous and so caring! Dr. Teitelbaum took amazing care of our son who had a very scary diagnosis. Dr. Teitelbaum called me several times while we anxiously awaited pathology results, not only to keep me informed, but out of deep concern. He is such a kind, compassionate physician, and we can't thank him enough.
I truly never write reviews and I have to say the staff and Dr Teitelbaum was very polite and had wonderful bedside manner however I didn’t feel like he took the time out to truly figure out the issue my child was having. The first consultation I wanted to go and see him because I figured they would need to do some sort of testing however the girl told me that they don’t do that there (I found out the morning of, they don’t do testing and I could have done a telehealth) so I asked if I could do a telehealth instead and they told me I would have had to send all the paperwork beforehand. So I bring my 3 month old there just to have a consult and he recommends a formula change. I just knew a formula change wasn’t going to make everything better. I had a follow up appointment and I did not feel like my concerns were being heard. I decided not to do another follow up appointment and get a second opinion. I am so glad I did because it wound up being something completely different and the new gastro also tested her stool which was never done here. I have heard wonderful things about Dr Teitelbaum and I feel like if they had taken the time out to just test my daughters stool and go through the motions maybe the outcome would be different. Just ask questions first with this office before you schedule anything.
I saw this doctor back in 2003ish when I was 12. Told me and my mom that I should see a therapist because I was vomiting continuously for three months and lost 30lbs. He it was an eating disorder. I still don’t know why I was vomiting, I think severe constipation... but the way this doctor spoke to me had a long lasting negative impact.
He diagnosed and treated our daughter when no one else could. We are glad we brought her to him.
Excellent and knowledgeable doctor. Truly outstanding.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
