4/28/23 .I had Lumbar fusion surgery, I put it off for years because of the bad stories I have heard. Dr Lustgarten performed minimally invasive surgery on December 2, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center, at three and a half months I started playing golf again! I am just about finished with my physical therapy, I do not have to pain that I had, I still have some tightness at times but that is to be expected as it can take a year to heal, my motion is excellent . Dr.Lustgarten and his staff were wonderful throughout the entire process, answering all of my questions and concerns honestly and thoroughly, whenever I called the office they responded to my needs and concerns immediately. I highly recommend Dr Lustgarten and Neurosurgeons of New Jersey!

Dr.Lustgarten is an amazing surgeon! He is very thorough, he explains everything to your understanding, wonderful bedside manner and very down to earth. His office manager Maryann is fabulous, she goes out of her way to help with anything that you need she is very friendly and knowledgeable. I recently had ACDF surgery and was amazed at how great I felt the day I left the hospital. I'm so thankful for Dr.Lustgarten for getting me out of pain. He was my husbands surgeon 2 years ago and my mom will possibly be traveling here from Florida to have him as her neurosurgeon as well. I highly recommend him, he is the best !!!

From his staff, Maryann to be exact, to the doctor himself, I love this office. Dr. Lustgarten is not only an amazing surgeon, he has a fantastic bedside manner. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, answers any questions & doesn't make you feel rushed out of the office. My husband was in severe pain from his should blade down his arm, numbness in his fingers etc. He couldn't sleep and it was just progressing. He started at an orthopedic office in Feb. After taking an x-ray, all they did was prescribe physical therapy, & drugs. I finally demanded an MRI in May. We never received the results of that MRI from the orthopedic doctor, even after going back to the office only to get more prescriptions & an appointment for a nerve study.The office said they didn't receive it, when I could see it on the patient portal. I got a copy of the MRI disc and the report & called Maryann. I dropped the disc & report to her for the doctor to look at on a Thursday. Friday she called me with an appointment for that Monday with Dr. Lustgarten. He did an examination, went over the disc & showed us the problem. Surgery was scheduled for ASAP. Immediately after surgery, except for the discomfort/pain for the surgery itself, the original pain/numbness was gone. I can't thank Dr. Lustgarten and Maryann enough for their assistance!!!

Dr. Lustgarten is an Amazing and very thorough neuro surgeon. He carefully explained the necessary steps regarding my surgery as well as my recovery process. Also, his assistant MaryAnn is quite knowledgeable, and was very efficient with my short term disability paperwork. I would highly recommend Dr. Lustgarten.

Good evening everyone i just wanna say i highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Lustgarden and his team i had a 2 level fusion last November and it was the best decision ive made,from the first constellation to the final visit Dr. Lustgarden makes you feel real comfortable and apart of the family i just wanna say Thank You to him and his team for getting me back on track.
