I have been with Dr. Arvanitis for over 20 years in that time he treats me with professionalism and courtesy. He takes the time to explain issues that may concern me. The best!

Dr. Arvanitis made an error performing bowl surgery on my Mother. Mother was malnourished, and we expressed concern with her condition before her surgery. Dr. A was confident surgery would be easier because she was tiny. The day of procedure the surgery team expressed the same concern, she was malnourished and should be given time to gain strength and weight before surgery. We once again spoke to him about our concerns and he reassured us this would be a quick and easy surgery. We agreed to move forward. Unfortunately, he admitted his error and in fact she was so tiny, it made the laparoscopic surgery difficult. She was admitted to ICU immediately after the longer than planned surgery. She bleed out internally, the only thing to do was provide blood products to stop bleeding and help clotting. Three weeks later she passed away as a result of the surgery.

Dr. Arvanitis was there for me when no other doctor would listen to my problems. Others doctors brushed me off telling me nothing was wrong when in fact I had severe scar tissue and bowl blockages from prior cancer treatments. He really saved my like physically and mentally. He also did genetic testing because of my family history and found I had Lynch Syndrome.
