Elizabeth Scheff's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Scheff is not only my favorite ob-gyn, she's my all-time favorite doctor. I had the most painless pap smear procedure. All my concerns are addressed, she is caring, the rapport doctor-patient is optimal.

I was privileged to have Dr. Scheff as my daughter's obstetrician during her pregnancy and delivery. She was outstanding in her knowledge and expertise in obstetrics and her compassionate and personable demeanor made me feel at ease throughout the prenatal care. Dr. Scheff took the time to listen to our concerns and answer all our questions thoroughly, instilling trust and confidence in her abilities. During the delivery, she displayed her talent and delivered the baby with care and skill. I am grateful for the care and support she provided our family. I highly recommend Dr. Scheff to any expectant mother seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and talented obstetrician.

I love Dr. Scheff! She's very kind and accommodating and made me feel really comfortable and cared for. Definitely will be using her as my Gyno for years to come!!

Dr scheff has been my DR for almost 10 years. She oversaw my last pregnancy which was high risk 6 years ago. Recently she heard my concerns about my geriatric age and hormone deficiency and tested and prescribed me as i kept asking for more and more tests to rule things out, and even though it was not in her scope of expertise,she tested anyway to qualm my worries. Never have i felt more seen and heard by a DR. Shes always honest with me, and always has helped me . Im really disappointed seeing other peoples bad reviews because shes always been an amazing Dr for me. Thank you Dr Scheff 🙏

I had my first appointment this morning. Now, I am not sure if this was just a case of the Monday’s, but I have never been so embarrassed and disrespected by a medical “professional” in my life. I had scheduled a routine Pap test, but I also had to discuss some concerns about my birth control. I had been waiting for this appointment for several weeks and wound up having my period. I spoke with the receptionist and nurse and was assured that although I could not get the Pap test, I could still discuss my concerns with Dr. Scheff. The nurse was wonderful and attentive, but as I waited in the room for the doctor to enter the room, I heard yelling outside. Something along the lines of, “if I can’t examine her, why is she even here wasting my time?” I could hear the nurse trying to explain but she burst in yelling about just writing me a new script. I tried to explain my insurance situation and that I needed something new. But I could not get one word in. I was basically kicked out of the exam room and was yelled at further in the middle of the hallway. The entirety of the visit was in the hallway, while she sat in her office and yelled from there. None of my questions were answered, as I barely got to ask any. I wound up with a script for something that I didn’t want, that I had several questions about and that ended up not even being covered by my insurance. I was told that my previous birth control shouldn’t have been prescribed to me and was “malpractice” although, I am not entirely certain how I would classify this visit. But she was right, it was an absolute waste of time.

Dr Scheff is a very well knowledge Gynecologist, she is kind and gives complete attention to the questions that I’ve could have, providing me the guidance I needed. The Office stuff are professional and kind as well.

2022 UPDATE: Not sure how after 2.5 years I'm still dealing with this horrid doctor and her office. I have been trying to get copies of my medical records for my new doctor for the last month from them (they claim I can only receive by snail mail), I haven't received anything and there is absolutely NO WAY of contacting this office anymore. I've called repeatedly for the past 4 days. There is no answer. No voicemail setup. No email to contact. Nothing. So at this point in addition to the numerous complaints about her medical care and manner, I guess I can add withholding medical records to the list. I cannot even fathom that I am somehow still forced to deal with this doctor. UPDATE (after 9 months of appointments & birth mid 2019): I’ll be switching doctors immediately. Unfortunately I had to stick with her through the rest of my pregnancy. I’ve never experienced such a scatter brained physician. After 9 months - every appointment I walked into, she’d be scrambling to review my records and we’d consistently Go through my medical history as if I were a new patient. Aside from the consistent body shaming every appointment and making me feel horrible for the slight extra weight I gained during pregnancy (which was normal and resulted in NO medical concerns), she screwed up my records twice. Telling me I’VE HAD HERPES 2 AND UTERINE TUMORS FOR YEARs WHEN I ABSOLUTELY DID NOW. She was reading someone else’s medical records during my appointment. She also made no note of allergies that I repeatedly told her of and we’d have to review them every appointment where she’s constantly say things like “why didn’t you tell me this.” Just an all around horrible experience with a doctor and my first pregnancy. She was rude and condescending. Had to keep referring to some book whenever I asked a question. Felt like a stranger every appointment and left feeling horrible about myself, my body, and being grateful for my health even though she wrongfully told me I had serious health issues that actually belonged to another patient of hers. INITIAL REVIEW (after one week in late 2018): I have never been happier with a doctor. I switched from my old place to specifically be with Dr. Scheff and it was the best move possible. Her office is clean and organized (with no wait time) - everyone there is knowledgeable and has great bedside manner - and Dr. Scheff made me feel like I was being cared for and answered all questions. You won't regret coming here!

All I see is negative comments about Dr. Scheff . Its a shame , I’ve been with Dr. Scheff for 6 years and I love her. Every doctor is hard to get a hold of. I always receive a call back from her . She’s a very caring doctor and makes you feel comfortable. I had a Horrible first pregnancy and lost my child. Dr. Scheff delivered my daughter VIA C-section due to my concerns about pushing. I met with doctor scheff 3 weeks before I was due and she was awesome.
