George Chai Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr Chai has been excellent with our two kids. He always responds almost instantly over email whenever we reach out to him. It’s like having a doctor on call for your kids 24/7. He is very friendly and has a great network of specialist doctors that he refers us to. His staff is professional and we always felt respected and well cared for. Saturday appointment availability is also a plus!

This is the 2nd time my son has fever since this pandemic started. The first time was months ago, I was told they would not see him and that I could do a virtual consult or w.e that was. We got to speak to some doctor by FaceTime (completely useless). This time my son has a fever and diahrea. I called and was told they have to test for covid. I asked how long would it be for the results, the receptionist says 1 to 2 weeks. I got upset because my son isn't holding food down, there's no way I can wait 2 weeks, I told her that. So then I was like well he needs some type of antibiotic to help him, the receptionist says there's no medicine to treat covid. Im so upset they automatically assume my son is positive for Covid19. My son has not been out in public since this pandemic started and no one in my household has not even had one symptom of covid19. I am officially done dealing with this place. I drove 20 miles to take my son elsewhere, i literally live 5 minutes away from Edgewater, i will not be coming back here. It seems like the receptionist always has an attitude. You work at a pediatric office atleast smile or feel some type of compassion. Anyways, our new doctor and her staff greeted us very kindly and my son got a overall check up and is feeling alot better. They didn't even assume it was covid19 either, they asked me to come in right away as a walk-in!!!!

Very happy with Dr. Chai's care! He is thorough, takes the time to listen and address all of your concerns without making you feel rushed, and works with parents to find care/treatment options that everyone is comfortable with. I've emailed him at all times of the day and even into the evening--he has always responded to emails within a few minutes at most. Would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Chai has been a great doctor. This includes Dr. Desai took on a lot of the load of the practice. However, Dr. Chai looks burned out and doesn’t display the same qualities he had at the beginning when he was our family’s pediatrician. He seems to be in a rush all the time and always leaves details to be explain by the desk assistants. It’s almost like a factory line. I am always early to my visits and prefer to wait. Yet, he rushes me out. He’s also seems to prefer to tend to babies than to the older children. If I bring this up, he has this blank stare like he has no idea what I’m talking about and tries to “sweep it under the rug”. He definitely is not as patient focused as he was some years ago. Too bad.

Dr. Chai is an amazing Pediatrician! He will always go out his way to make sure your child gets the best care! Highly recommend him to anyone who want a caring doctor who truly cares for his patients and their health!

Hands down the most unprofessional and disorganized pediatricians office. They almost never call to inform you of an upcoming appointment. I call Dr. Chai’s office for a prescription for my daughter and the front desk girl said they would call it in. Two hours pass and I go to my pharmacy and they tell me no one called in a prescription. I call Dr. Chai’s office and they inform me that they assumed it was sent over already and the doctor is with a patient. They don’t tell me how long it’ll be before they’ll call in the prescription that’s #1 and #2 I had to leave my daughter who isn’t feeling with my husband (who is rushing to go to work) to go get this medicine. Unbelievable! This is one of many incidents I decided. Another example is my younger daughter got a terrible fever I call in to see if they’d see me they said they’re too busy. I decided to show up anyways and there was no one in the office (go figure) and when I told Dr. Chai the situation he looked confused about it. I will say that Dr Chai is a pleasant pediatrician with that said I’m done with this office!

We have very good experience with him.He is very helpful and reachable through e-mails at odd hours too.Best doctor.

I love Dr. Chai! He is one of these few doctors who gives the field of medicine something to brag about. I've been since him since my boys were 7 and 9. They are now, 13 and 15 and they still ask to be seen by Dr. Chai. To start, he is very friendly and professional. He listens to the parent's concern but like to speak to his patients as well. His office is very clean and his staff is courteous. I like the fact that he also educates parents and puts their mind at ease. Thank you Dr. Chai for having such a vocation to your profession.
