List of Gerardo V. Estevez's Reviews
Dr Estevez is a very good doctor. I really like him as my PCP and been with him since 2016 but lately they are accepting more patients than they can manage. I couldnt have my yearly Physical with him for 2 straight years because of scheduling problems plus whenever you call for a sick visit, you might have to wait for 2 weeks minimum unless there is a cancellation. There is always a problem to see Doc Estevez when you really need to see him. Looking to replace my PCP now. Update: Changing to a 5 star review. I have been able to get urgent appointments quickly and access to the doctor. Things must have improved.
I was looking for a Primary care doctor in my network Dr. Estevez seemed like the best available to me, was open more than a few days a week, convenient location, good reviews. When I called about my immediate need, a pre-employment physical, the woman who answered put me on hold for a few minutes, and when she came back told me "we don't do those". So a primary care doctor won't do a simple pre-employment physical. She didn't ask me if I was a current patient or a new one which if I was a current patient I'd find ridiculous they'd send me to another doctor/facility for such a thing. She, perhaps asked another staff member or doctor, if they would/did them, maybe pre-employment physicals don't cost enough to be worth their time, I don't know. I just know Dr. Estevez isn't my new primary care physician, I was looking for that as well, and he isn't a doctor I'll ever choose to use in the future.
I went to the doctor for a physical and blood test, was told by the doctor to make an appointment for a follow up visit to get the results of the blood test so I did, then they send me a bill after the second appointment that I was in no way shape or form told about, and when I called to dispute they then tell me "oh you didn't need to make an appointment you just had to call in" except no one in their office on either my first or second visit told me that.
Dr. Estevez is excellent. He's calm and takes time to review all aspects of your life: stress, eating habits, exercise, mental health. He'll even ask about family and genuinely listen to your answer. He checks all your numbers and does a complete job in assessing you. Very happy with him as my doctor.
Highly recommend Dr. Gerardo Estevez - Very HUMBLE Doctor: Dr. Gerardo Estevez is the BEST primary physician I have ever been to. He genuinely cares about you and your health. Dr. E is mild mannered and thorough most importantly he always listening to your concerns and addresses it. What impresses me the most (since he is our primary family physician) he always asks how's my husband and sons are doing with sincerity. Also his receptionist/check in administrator, ROSE is so nice and friendly! That alone speaks volume how you will be treated as a patient!
Been seeing Dr. Estevez for several years now. My husband and father also see him, and we are all very pleased. He's a friendly a thorough physician who always makes himself available. A good listener that takes into account his patient's concerns. Office staff is friendly and environment is very clean. Definitely the best PCP I have experienced. Thank you Dr. Estevez.
An excellent and thorough doctor!
Been going to Dr Estevez for years. He is a good physician and has a friendly demeanor. I liked the Metuchen office, but he moved a couple of times since then. Office staff is friendly, however there is usually a wait time to see the doctor.
Horrible services.
great treatment!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
