Estuve esperando que me llegue algún correo pidiendo mi opinión sobre la atención que tuve en este hospital, soy un paciente de cáncer al cerebro, vivo en new Brunswick NJ, y me enviaron en una referencia a este hospital en noviembre 25 del 2024, a una consulta con la neuróloga Wei Ma, no sé hasta ahora el porqué me envió la asistenta social del hospital Saint Peter’s hasta allá, la verdad fue todo un caos ya que supuestamente estaba coordinado mi movilidad hasta allá ida y vuelta, pero viendo que la hora avanzaba y no tenía ninguna comunicación con la movilidad, decidí ir en mi propio auto , tomando todas las precauciones del caso, ya que por mi condición médica, debo evitar lo más posible conducir, y además no puedo trabajar y eso me complica aún más mi situación ya que pagar un taxi se me es muy difícil en estos momentos, llegué al hospital y recibí un mensaje que mi atención ya no era en el building 62 si no en el 80, ok fui caminando ya que es bueno caminar un poco de vez en cuando, y llegué al building 80, donde me dijeron que ahí ya no era mi atención y que habían regresado al 62 ……! Ok regresé nuevamente y pregunté y nuevamente me querían enviar al building 80, le expliqué que de ahí venía y que me dijeron que todo había regresado ahí, entonces me enviaron al final de un pasillo largo donde pregunté y me hicieron esperar mientras estaban verificando mis datos y la cita, cuando me atendió una enfermera primero muy amable y me hizo el triaje respectivo, luego me atendió otra asistente de la doctora que me comenzó a hacer muchas preguntas y pedirme mis resultados, y que por qué me habían enviado hasta ahí si en el hospital de saint Saint Peter’s en New Brunswick habían neurólogos, y cuando le dije que no lo sabía, medio que se incómodo o algo así, lo peor vino cuando le dije que yo vivo SOLO en este país y había llegado conduciendo mi auto, me dijo que “POR QUÉ NO ME REGRESO A MI PAIS PARA QUE ME CUIDEN” creo que es algo que NADIE le gustaría oír y que además ahí no me podían atender, solo lo básico y un solo examen ya que el seguro que tengo es el Charity Care, o sea parece que cuando uno tiene este seguro, la atención es distinta en ciertas ocasiones, ya que en el hospital Saint Peter’s, desde mi operación en mayo 2024 y mi tratamiento de radioterapia y quimioterapia han sido excelentes pero en otros sitios, no se el porqué cambia tanto, en fin, cuando llego la doctora la asistente le dijo todo lo que yo le había dicho obviamente, omitió la parte más dura , pero igualmente la doctora ni me hizo alguna revisión ni nada solo me dijo que yo debería estar con alguien que me cuide, ok aceptable, pero si vives solo que se puede hacer??? No se si puedo llamar a esto DISCRIMINACIÓN o algo parecido, pero definitivamente NO regreso a ese hospital, y escribo todo esto porque, las personas deben ser más empaticas con otras personas, sobre todo si son casos no muy comunes como el mío, vine a este país no por buscar un futuro, tengo 56 años y tuve que huir prácticamente de mi Perú, ya que la violencia está desbordada y la gente de mal vivir extorsiona y roba sin miramientos y si no les das lo que piden, fácil para ellos , una bala en la cabeza y listo….. me detectaron el cáncer en mayo del 2024 , soy una persona que no toma, no fumo tengo 4 hijos que ya son adultos y profesionales, pero para que no le hagan daño a ellos ya que yo era el punto para esta gente preferí alejarme y es por eso que vivo en este país en una situación muy difícil, toda mi vida he trabajado duro y no tenía necesidad de salir de mi país, pero las cosas cambiaron mucho, gracias y espero se entienda a bien el motivo de mi molestia.

Excelente servicio

I don't recommend outpatient Physical therapist Ashley Latona and Shannon McErlean. They don't help patients achieve their goals. My new outpatient PT place works with their patients to achieve their goals

I've been Here for about 2 Years. I've LOST MY PATIENCE with the Secretary/s They are Very Un Organized. I Will Call on a Monday they Won't get back to Me. I will Have to Call another 3 More times and They FINALLLY tell me I Need to Make a Doctors appointment. Who has time for BS like this? I'm Beyond Upset and Dissapointed with This Pain Management. This Totally Excludes Dr. Devoloux because He Truly Treats Me Wonderful, Hes A Friend, He Understands, Hes Kind. They Absolutely Need new People in their Office. Very Rude on Phone, Very Unorganized, and Very Irresponsible with Re Filling Medicine for Their Patients. [PAIN MANAGEMENT Section- Not Review for Hospital]

Dr. Greiss, DO and Dr. Zubair, MD are amazing doctors, I highly recommend them. The nurses, physical therapist, and front desk staff on the Brain Trauma Unit are super. They are the only reasons I would ever recommend anyone here. While it is helpful to air a grievance on Google reviews, I feel that it is also best to outreach the patient experience department with an email, as I had to when I came across some staff that were not kind or very professional. Please do not shy away from advocating for yourself and your loved ones, and do it with kindness as it helps when you have to leave your loved one in the care of others.

I was post surgery with cauda equine syndrome. Unable to walk or manage my bathroom. JFK gave me hope. They cared for me like a human being. Cared for me physically and emotionally with kindness and efficiency. Excellent staff all around. The food was even really good. Can't say enough how well I was treated. Thank you JFK spinal rehab for your excellent staff.

Erin C is the best PT in the area. She cares about her patients.
