Marathon Running Injuries! Result of recovery!! After a couple of Injured seasons of training for a Full Marathon run, including many Physical Therapy sessions at a different place (30 mins drive from my place), I Met Dr. Preyas Mehta, Physical Therapist at Innovative Physical Therapy and Gym at Edison NJ. Dr. Timothy Calvert (URL refer my review here) who I consulted for my injury referred Dr. Preyas Mehta for my Physical Therapy. Mr. Preyas was very patient and listened to my running injuries and the PT sessions I went thru earlier. I have also told him of my goal to finish Philly Marathon in 6 weeks’ time. He assured he would enable me to run pain free or with manageable pain (at the worst-case scenario) so that I could finish my first Full Marathon and avoid another postponement. In the 6 weeks’ time I had for the race, twice a week, he spent at-least 40 mins minimum for my assessments and strength treatments and another 1.5 Hrs. min on average to do my strength exercises. The excellent team there assisting Preyas (Dr. Abby (PT), Maxx, Angeli, Shub) had helped me with the strength routines in my sessions. I could not even run two miles due to pain (lower back. Hamstrings, Achillies) when I started therapy, and by the fifth week, I could finish HM distance 13.2 miles free from pain while running. I had sore Achillies the next day but that was not painful to be bothering. The max distance training I had was couple of seven miles and five miles and one HM. With that training background, I went for Philly Marathon on November 24th Sunday. I finished my Marathon run obviously with some struggle as there was no formal distance training as per my schedule. My coach was happy that I could finish my Marathon after 2 postponements in the past. Thanks to Preyas Mehta (and Dr. Timothy Calvert) and the Team at Innovative Physical Therapy and Gym!! For any result oriented athletic PT sessions, I recommend Preyas Mehta and team at Innovative Physical Therapy and Gym!! Booking appointments with their front office is also smooth and they are very helpful. Special Mention: Preyas asked me to come to the clinic on Saturday evening (it is a Clinic holiday) prior to race day and applied strength/support tapes on my back, hamstrings, Achillies to support my run. That was unexpected, a very much personal care for me, and it displayed how committed he was in my successful race day run/experience. After long hours of running, I did not feel any pain! Thanks Mr. Preyas!!

Physical therapy is always unpleasant and no one wants to be there, but the staff here is so patient and kind and super personable. It makes the time go a little faster. They really put you at ease which is great considering how uncomfortable the exercises can be. Even the other clients feel comfortable to strike up conversation. Their playlists need work though ;)

Very friendly staff who genuinely care for their patients. I went in with severe arm and wrist pain, with limited range of motion. My pain went from a ten to a four in just a few visits. The therapists are very knowledgeable and will focus on activities best suited to your injuries. Definite 5 Star. They’re the best……….Judy

I had Improper Misalignment of Knee and I took Physical Therapy under Dr. Preyas Mehta, gave me confidence to climb steps / do my daily activities. Technicians Angelina and Max were very friendly and caring. Felt I was in Safe place/hand to heal my knee alignment. Innovative PT and FC center is well equipped and the best place for Physical Therapy. I highly recommend..

Very cool and clean place. DOT Priyesh and his team really taking good care of all patients. All required equipments available. One on one session. Therapy technician are also well trained. Specially this place gives almost two hours on all patients. I recommend everyone who needs any therapy.

Suresh and his team helped me immensely after knee replacement surgery, back issues after a fall, and shoulder pain from bursitis. Suresh has 'magic' fingers!
