Dr. Shen is extremely friendly and competent and thorough. Her mandarin speaking receptionist was super rude and condescending and that is why she gets 1 star off. I am an MD and would never be able to tolerate such a person on my staff. She was the opposite of helpful. The receptionist was noticeably nicer to mandarin speaking patients. I think she would benefit from an antidepressant.

I have been Dr Shen's patient for over 16 years and recently I found the receptionist has some attitude issue. I made an appointment for annual check-up in the morning in Oct but just tried to confirm the date and everything. And I was told by the receptionist that I already confirmed a week ago. But I never did. Then she asked to go to the office in the afternoon. After I told her my appointment was in the morning, she got mad and started to fight against me. I am going to see Dr Shen one more time and after this visit, I am done.

I have diabetes and everytime I go to get my blood test, the staff are always courteous and professional. Like always, Dr. Shen explains your condition to you so you understand what's going on about your health. I always feel comfortable visiting her office. It is always a good experience.

Dr. Shen actually cares about her patients and will go through your health concerns during her follow up with you. Staff are kind and courteous. I'm not sure what the other people who complain are talking about.

The only redeeming factor is that Dr Shen is an excellent provider. Her front desk staff needs a complete revamp. Absolutely no professional manner or ability to speak like normal people.

DR. SHEN is a very professional, thorough and caring doctor. She always takes the time to explain everything to you so you understand what's going on. She goes out of her way to ease your health concerns. I would recommend her over many other doctors in the area.
