List of Suketu R Shah's Reviews
This man made my skin crawl at every appointment. I needed a new endocrinologist fast and the other offices my primary care physician recommended weren’t accepting new patients for months (with the exception of one who REALLY like feet) so I had to stick with him for a while. During the first visit he kept taking off his wedding ring, showing it to me and putting it in his pocket, as if I didn’t get the hint the first time. I tried ignoring it and looking at him in disgust hoping he would get the hint and stop eventually. While he played with his ring less during subsequent visits, he still wasn’t the best at his job. He often didn’t know the answer to my questions and kept telling me to ask the diabetes educator when he himself should be able to answer them as an endocrinologist. So many things were off about this man. They way he would get so excited talking about “bellies” and the motion he would make towards his stomach, when he asked if I had purple marks on my “belly” and when I said no he said I still needed to lift up my shirt and show him and he started poking at my stomach, he kept “forgetting” what surgery I had three times and made me describe how it was done while he smirked… it was all so strange. The last straw was when he told me to ask my surgeon for more of pain medication I was given a week supply of 2 months after it was done, saying he didn’t know what per… was called without the Tylenol but to ask for that and said it with a smirk. It sounds like best case scenario his response to me not being interested was to embarrass me or worse case scenario get me addicted.
I've been seeing him for over 6 years now and Dr. Shah is the among the very best doctors I've ever been treated by. I've found him to be very competent and from day one the treatment changes he made have yielded positive results. When my mother needed an Endocrinologist I immediately referred her to Dr Shah. He is a very good Dr who is not only smart but has a gentle manner and is kind and down to earth. He takes time to listen and I never feel rushed along. He has an open mind and if he disagrees with something he takes time to explains why. I feel respected and treated as a unique individual. I also see a Nutritionist named Elizabeth Bongo who he works with and I like her alot as well. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Shah and for me he is a Godsend!
Dr. Shah is probably one of my most favorite doctors. He is attentive, he listens and writes down everything I say. He makes a ton of notes and I love the visit summary I get after each visit. The nurses are all very nice and personable.
I have been using Dr Shah for many years, and have always found him to be caring and thoughtful in his practice of medicine. He is willing to listen to patients, and does not rush anyone out of the office. As far as the many comments about not accepting new patients, this is a sign that he has a full schedule of returning patients, and should be taken as a good sign, since so many people are happy with his care.
Office staff very very unprofessional, Dr. Shah prescribed me Trulicity. I had a very bad reaction to it, the side effects were really scary how I was feeling. I have been trying to get a hold of the doctor for 3 days now he hasn’t returned my calls and his office staff couldn’t be more rude. They were not sympathetic to how I was feeling. I find this to be outrageous and absurd that I can’t get a itty bitty doctor to call me back to help me with a treatment that HE gave me. Let’s get real your not that busy your not Doctor OZ. Just own up to the fact that it didn’t take to me and give me direction moving forward. Very unhappy and would never recommend to anyone.
Dr Shah is a smart, caring, patient doctor. He does not rush you in and out, he spends time with you and really get to know you and your condition. He goes the extra steps to make sure you understand, and gives you options. I find my visits informative, pleasant, and thorough, and I always leave with a sense of gratitude he took as much time with me. For those complaining hes not accepting new patients, and giving him, his reputation 1 star is unfair and doesn't represent him as a doctor.
Dr. Shah has always gone above and beyond to explain, and take my feeling s into consideration. He's professional, detail oriented, and really does care.
Have been Dr. Shah’s patient for approximately 3 years now. Found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and great bedside manners too. His office staff is professional as well, when I called the office with concerns, staff was kind and courteous as well. Anticipating on a surgery with Dr.Shah. Don’t know how neat his cut is. Anyone has an input please let me know.
Professional office staff, short waiting period for all appointments. Dr. Shah is the best doctor i have seen in a long time. He is a good listener and problem solver. He is always Professional, respectful, caring and available to answer questions.
I am new patient and Dr Shah was nice and helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
