Zero stars for Dr Hunter. He is the worst doctor that there is. Joanne Burd
He is the worst. Takes months to get an appointment, when you do have one they call and cancel or cancel and don't call you to let you know. For someone who specializes in Neurology I wouldn't trust him with a baby doll. He takes no time to look at cat scans, refuses to assist patients with VNS implants. If I could give him 0 stars I would. If you love your loved please find someone else
Outstanding! Dr. Hunter is a smart, compassionate doctor who's genuinely helping with my chronic migraines.
Excellent results! Dr. Hunter is a smart, caring doctor who's genuinely helping with my chronic migraines.
I was skeptical after reading reviews but went with an open mind. He was very very thorough and sympathetic. His exam was very indepth. His staff was very kind as well. Sending me for test just as precaution and gave me feedback on his thoughts.
I got my Emg done by dr. Hunter at Atlantic care and he was very nice and made me fell very comfortable...he talk me through the procedure and let me know everytime he was about to start...i will go back to him Again if i ever need another EMG
Dr Hunter refused to review a 2nd opinion from a neurologist at Jefferson which confirmed that my husband had Parkinson's He said he was of a different opinion!!!!! Dr Hunter's evaluation was never as thorough as the doctor from Jefferson!I immediately got my husband away from Dr Hunter. The new neurologist, who was the 3rd I had my husband to, also confirmed that my husband did have Parkinson's.
I went to see Dr. Hunter as I got off the couch and was numb from my waste down. I assumed it was from my back as I had back pain from discs in the past which have been treated successfully with epidurals. He ordered an MRI and a nurse reported there was no change from my last one years ago. I never had experienced numbness before and had assumed it was stemming from my back, and Dr. Hunter agreed. He prescribed medication for the numbness which did nothing. He prescribed an epidural which I had and it did nothing. The pain management Dr. suggested I see an orthopedic surgeon which I did and was told I'm not a surgical candidate. Dr. Hunter suggested I see a neurosurgeon and offered to do an EMG to determine the exact location of the injury. After that painful test, he was puzzled why I was feeling more numb on the left side when the disc's seemed to be more deviated to the right side of my body. He sent me for another epidural based on this information. That epidural didn't work either. They have ALWAYS helped me. Dr. Hunter NEVER called to report my results any time and identify next steps. He suggested I see a neurosurgeon however I inquired about an ablation as recommended by others with disc issues. He referred me to 2 places to get the ablation. Meanwhile I made an appt with a neurosurgeon who did a full examination (Dr. Hunter did not) and informed me this numbness is not coming from my back. This is going on for 10 months now of numbness, weakness, falls, with no relief. The neurosurgeon told me I have axonal neuropathy that has nothing to do with my back injury and explained why. He then referred me to a competent neurologist. Unfortunately I have to wait 2 months to see them, and it's now going to be 1 year I have been misdiagnosed and unable to receive the correct diagnosis or treatments. The quality of care and safety for me as a patient is disastrous. He put me through all these tests and was still referring me for more tests to treat a problem I did not have, not addressing the real problem. He misdiagnosed me and there were red flags that indicated he needs to do a full assessment to get to the real problem but he never did. What kind of neurologist with 30 years of experience doesn't know to do this. In medicine, you look for the root cause of the issue. This is the worse Physician I have ever seen. He just doesn't care about vulnerable patients. He NEVER returns phone calls and they schedule you 6 months after a test to review. I called to have my records transferred on line and calling to assure they would get there at the time of my new visit but they weren't there for my neurosurgeon to review. In fact they sent them to my gynecologist -why when they had all the information on where to send. Why are you sending lumbar MRI's and EMG results to a gynecologist. When you look up his phone number to call, it is an incorrect number and you can't even find the right one. What a disastrous Physician who works for a health system that is soo unorganized and compromises patient care.
Excellent Doctor. Very through and caring. Made me feel like an actual human and not just an addict. Gave me answers to why I have been having seizures. Performed tests and took his time. When I went to Youseff she had horrible bedside manner treated me like a junkie performed no tests and was more focused on my fidget spinner I'm so glad I got into Hunter
Excellent Doctor. Very through and caring. Excellent bedside manner. Gave me answers to my unknown seizure episodes. Spoke to me like I was a human. Performed tests and took his time. I went to Youseff a few months ago and it was a waste of my time. She had horrible bedside manner treated me like I was just an addict and was more focused on my fidget spinner than my health. I am so glad I found Dr Hunter. Would absolutely recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
