List of Saugato Sanyal's Reviews
In an emergency situation Dr. Sanyal put 3 stents in my heart. While all that appears to be fine, his follow up care leaves much to be desired. The follow up care exam was minimal and he probably spent less than 2 minutes with me. But when I needed a clearance for a dental procedure, four weeks later I'd heard NOTHING !!!! I found out the 2 requests, an original and a second duplicate sent two weeks later, were there but had not been addressed. When I got upset , they sent it over to him at the hospital. It was verified the hospital received it, but days later he hadn't seen it. We are now more than another week + later and still no response. His work may be good, but this is standard of care is unacceptable. If he couldn't (or wouldn't) do it I should have had a call at the very least from his office. They never said I should come in, or even go to my primary care for the clearance. Instead I was IGNORED. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Excellent physician , takes time to explain the disease the medications, patient, clear outline of goals and targets and how his suggestions are relevant to current medical data which he tries his best to explain. Also provides diet and lifestyle advice
He is the WORST doctor that I have ever been to. After receiving normal results on my EKG and blood pressure, he walked into the room without introducing himself and told me that he could assume that i never played high school sports. I then told him the sports that I played in high school and then also participated in in college. He then told me that he could assume that I couldn't keep up with my fellow classmates. I told him that it was not true. He started dictating notes into his phone and basically made it clear that he didn't believe me. He then asked me how long I have had an obesity "problem" and when I told him my whole life he then dictated note that I was always "big". He then asked me what happens when I work out. I told him like regular people my heart rate will go up and I will sweat. He then dictated that I experience shortness of breath when I never said that. All in all he is the definition of the obesity bias in medicine. I reported him to the medical supervisor.
He is the WORST doctor that I have ever been to. During my appointment I almost got up and walked out 3 times. After receiving normal EKG results and having a normal blood pressure, he walked into the room without introducing himself and told me that he could assume that i never played high school sports. I then told him the sports that I played in high school and then also participated in in college. He then told me that he could assume that I couldn't keep up with my fellow classmates. I told him that it was not true. He started dictating notes into his phone and basically made it clear that he didn't believe me. He then asked me how long I have had an obesity "problem" and when I told him my whole life he then dictated note that I was always big. He was disrespectful, rude, cocky, arrogant and pig headed the entire appointment. He continually interrupted me and had no desire to understand my health outside of my appearance. He should read up on the code of ethics and maybe the obesity bias in medicine since he is the definition. Please do not go see this man.
Poor bedside manner and cocky
Excellent caring physician, has empathy, helped solve and explain my problems when other big cardiology groups failed. Excellent staff and one can get to him anytime.
Caring Cardiology provides excellent service. Staff is very supportive and attentive. Dr. Saugato Sanyal is one of the doctors who truly cares about his patients. Highly recommend Dr.S.Sanyal to everyone as a best cardiologist.
I have been to Dr Sanyal a couple times, once for me and once for my wife. both times seemed disorganized as he tries to train girls in the office as we wait in the waiting room for our appointment. This last time, for my wife, we got a bill in the mail for $625.02 (after insurance) and paid it. A month later got another bill saying it was our final notice. I called a billing service 1-800 number on the statement and was told they don't bill for this office anymore (woman at mediclaim said) and there must have been some confusion with Dr Sanyal's office not sending info anymore. Again, totally disorganized feeling. What if I wrote another check? I would have paid twice and then been in a big mess getting my money back. Will not go back.
Inappropriate behavior. Spoke of his deceased wife and how hie teenaged children are still having a garden time. He thinks they should be finished grieving. He told me about the 2 women he was dating at the time and how they were not well educated. I never returned. Creepy guy
Dr is very understanding and cares about each pt as if it was his own family member. He is very professional. If you have a problem he will see you or call you back within a reasonable time.I would not go to another Dr.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
