List of Southern Jersey Medical Centers's Reviews
I took my wife to get seen by Nekia Love for her eye and she gave my wife eyedrops for her eye. All it did was make my wife eye even more worse. The doctor didn't care what my wife was trying to say to her about what's wrong with her eye. All the doctor did was a quick 5 minute exam. When my wife and I walked out, I received zero paper work about her medicine and how many days/hours my wife should take it. What the doctor did was very unprofessional. A day after, we went back to the doctors and Keisha had helped and prescribed medicine to help her with her eye.
I took my friend to the Egg Harbor Township office. When we walked in there was only one receptionist on duty, she was on the telephone apparently speaking with a spanish speaking person. We sat down and waited too be greeted. A woman walked in and immediately the receptionist hung up the phone and asked her can I help you? Even though she saw us when we came in and knew we were waiting. She started entering her information on her computer. In complete disgust we looked each other, got up, and walked out. Unbelievable experience. We will never return to the Egg Harbor Township office again. I would be embarrassed to work there. If this is the way you are greeted, I can see why there are so many bad reviews about this medical center. I would not let them care for my dead pet. This is probably why there were not other people there. Also, we were on hold for over 30 minutes just trying to find out their hours of operation. No one would answer the telephone. They must have been busy with their other invisible patients. Thank you very much for letting us know where not to venture. If I could leave zero stars...it would not even be one star.
Just walked out of the English Creek office after a 35 minute wait for a vaccine. Signs are posted on the door "Do not enter unmasked". I have cancer my husband is undergoing treatment for lung cancer and there is NO mask enforcement in this office. People took the masks after being given them at registration, did not put them on and then joked about it with other patients. When I went back to registration after dealing with people standing over me wiping their runny noses with their hands and wiping it on the wall divider I was told "Everyone has a mask on" When I pointed out they didn't only then was one -out if 6 people- spoken too. Some of us have health issues that require us to still wear masks and isolate. It would be great if we could pull together and help out.
I’d like to preface this with the fact that I am pregnant and currently using this office for prenatal care. Here’s a couple things I’d like to know if I was considering this office. One: I can NEVER get through to someone when I call. I mean it. Never once have I called this office and not been put on hold for 35+ minutes or had to select to receive a call back. This makes it really difficult to schedule appointments. Who has time to wait that long? Two: I told the OBGYN that I was having left sided pain around my groin and was concerned. I came into the office and waited an hour and a half to be seen. Now, I know that a lot of healthcare facilities are short staffed. After all, I am a nurse. However, when she finally came into the room, she didn’t even assess me. She dismissed it as my “ligaments stretching”. They could’ve just told me that over the phone if they weren’t going to take the time to actually ask me questions and assess me. What was the point of making me come in and wait? It was frustrating to say the least. Anyway, I had an ultrasound the next week that revealed I have an ovarian cyst. I’m very displeased with this office. Do better.
I recently switched my PCP to this medical group and, with the exception of the heavyset female receptionist, have had zero issues. (That receptionist is rude and condescending). Otherwise, the staff is accommodating, professional, and courteous. I didn’t feel rushed or ignored while discussing current medical issues with my doctor. I feel comfortable recommending this medical group to others.
This practice doesn't even deserve 1 star but leaving it blank wasn't an option. Let me start off by saying that I wanted to like this office. Originally I went to the hammonton location because it is closer to where I live. I liked the pediatrician McLane but the office was always so crowded no matter the time of day I picked. It was extremely frustrating trying to reach anyone who worked there. I called multiple times and was put on hold. After being on hold for 20-25 mins, I get hung up on. This happened several times and I became more frustrated each time it happened. Finally, I decided to switch offices. I started going to the EHT location. . I appreciated that they Had a visible pediatric waiting room seperate from the rest of the office. Being inside a doctor's office makes me nervous and I was especially nervous at this previous appointment. I expressed my concerns with the vaccine to his pediatrician, Dr higginbottoms and I was asked if I needed " Valium or Benadryl". I was so shocked. I then proceeded to ask how I could reach her if he experiences a reaction to the vaccine like a fever or rash. She looks me straight in the eyes and asks "well, if there is any kind of emergency who do you call? 911 of course." She basically told me that once she clocks out for the day she doesn't want to be bothered. Next it was time for his vaccine. I already made it clear that I only want 1 at a time. The tech comes in with the oral Rotovirus vaccine as well as the pneumococcal vaccine. I reminded her I'm only allowing 1. She hands me the rv oral and opens the pneumococcal vaccine and says to me that I've now "wasted the one that could have been used on another child". Needless to say, I left the office in tears. A couple of days goes by and I'm requesting his shot records for his new pediatrician. I look at the records given and it's NOT EVEN UPDATED!!!!! What I experienced is completly rude and rediculous. If you want reliability for your child's pediatrician, don't waste your time with Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers. Go anywhere else.
Customer service provided at front desk and help given by medical assistants is for the most part, good. On occasion you run into someone with an attitude but I'm assuming that's due to the lack of effort that some of their co-workers put into getting the job done at this place. Meanwhile they're getting bombarded with patients as the offices are almost always overbooked. I've been to both the Pleasantville and EHT offices and based off experience, the offices are disorganized and theres some sort of lack of communication going on. Would be a much better experience if they could sort those issues out.
Super unprofessional to schedule an appointment then close the office with no call to inform or reschedule. Should not have scheduled people on a day you where planning on being closed. Or you should have at least rescheduled and called people who had appointments. I get it was just made a Federal holiday but you already had people scheduled and the professional thing to do would have been to wait and close for the holiday next year or call every person scheduled and re schedule them not just post a note in the door and let people show up. 30 min drive wasted here... 30 min drive back... medicine that's needed and wasted gas.
I accidentally came here 8 am when I was suppose to go to other doctor place that was only 5 mins away. Now I'm Deaf and writes in english to communicate with someone. When it was my turn to come up. I had my notes ready for her to read. She said something and nod me. I nicely asked her to write down what she was trying to say. She did but wrote in spanish...i mean like yeah I look like I'm a spanish person but I don't read spanish at all. I left the building shocked this never happens to me. Please don't do that. That's rude.
If I could give this place negative stars I would! DO NOT go here for any dental work run away as fast as you can!! All the dentist recommends to every patient is to have all their teeth pulled and get dentures that take over a year to get! They have no interest in saving or repairing your teeth. X-rays are not completed properly and no exam of your teeth is done. The dentist was rude and didn't want to answer any questions

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
