After going undiagnosed for the first 40 years of my life and suffering chest pains and fainting spells for 20 years, two doctors out of so many took me seriously. I had open heart at Our Lady of Lourdes and the care I received from Dr Gelernt was wonderful. He’s a caring, compassionate man who takes time to listen and answer all questions. My husband is now his patient and is very happy with the excellent care.

I would like to give Dr Gelernt a zero for the care he provided my mother with during her stay in Inspira Hospital. He extended her stay in the hospital by "forgetting" to sign the proper paperwork for her discharge. After already being in the hospital for a week with pneumonia during the Covid Crisis, my mother and our family were overjoyed to have her coming home. Her spirits were lifted for a few hours, only to have Dr Gelernt dash them down. His incompetence is reprehensible.

I had some trouble in the beging of my diagnostics, than I switched to Dr.Gelernt an he was very attentive and only had my health in mind I wasn't just a number. I would recommend him to anyone he absolutely amazing !!!

Dr.Gelernt is very condescending and was not helpful at helping me with my cardiovascular problems. Unless you want to be talked to like a child, don't see this curmudgeon.

I have seldom been so impressed by a doctor. His knowledge, ability,and care for the patient are seldom found in one physician. His bedside manner is comforting and reassuring, as well as honest. He explains things in an understandable manner. I can never say enough good things about Dr. Gelernt.
