List of Eric Avezzano's Reviews
Dr. Avazzano has exceptional interpersonal skills. He always has time to listen and answer all your health questions. I highly recommend Dr. Avazzano.
I disagree with any negative comments about Dr. A. I’ve been his patient for about 20 years and never felt he lacked compassion or professionalism. Because he is an expert in his field, in 2014 he made a decision to take an additional unrelated test for which I had been in his office. This test found an early stage kidney cancer which saved my life. I had my second colonoscopy this morning and the staff and Dr A. get an A+!!! Good doctors like this are difficult to find these days.
I’m really shocked to see so many positive reviews because I feel Dr. Avezzano showed little to no concern about my issues. I had to wait weeks to make an appointment with him. He showed no empathy and was quick to “diagnose” me based on my history rather than doing a thorough exam. I think the exam was 2 seconds long… if that. He basically showed no concern and was quick to wash his hands of me and send me off to a surgeon. Meanwhile, I’ve been in pain for a long time. He didn’t care to follow-up with me, just gave me a surgeons name and sent me off. I have since went and met with an amazing gastroenterologist who not only took the time to exam me and hear me out but showed concern. I am thankful I got a second opinion. I feel Dr. Avezzano only delayed my diagnosis and I’m very disappointed in him. I don’t like to give out negative reviews but I may have a life-threatening issue going on and he showed no concern whatsoever.
Dr. Avezzano and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, informative and caring. They all have a passion for what they do, and they do it quite well.
i have been a patient for over 30 years. dr. avezzano is highly knowledgeable and skilled, both as a gastroenterologist and a primary care physician. he is also quite compassionate. he definitely warrants my highest review and recommendation !
Great experience - there was strong communication.
If you are ever in need of a GI specialist, no matter where you live, make an appointment and see Dr. Avezzano. Patience, expertise, not only his field, but others, knowledge and always keeping up with the latest medical breakthru's make Dr. Avezzazo a go to in his field. And will share - he plays the greatest music as you head into your procedure.
Dr. Avezzano is a doctor who is compassionate and committed to his patients and I would highly recommend him.
I visited Dr. Avezzano is truly one of the best doctors I have ever visited. I've been suffering from GI issues for years and recently decided to see Dr. Avezzano. After one visit I already feel better and am confident Dr. Avezzano will be able to help me. He sat with me for over an hour explaining different issues I may have and went in depth on what causes them (while also putting everything into layman's terms).
I have been a patient of Dr. Avezzano for many years. In 2012, I went to Dr. A because of indigestion caused by eating spicy foods during a trip to Mexico. Even though this issue was unrelated to my final diagnosis, Dr. A decided to order an ultrasound as a precaution to make certain my gallbladder was ok. The gallbladder was fine, however the report indicated a suspicious mass on the left kidney, a CT Scan was recommended for further evaluation. The CT report confirmed RCC, which is a cancerous tumor of the kidney. Dr. A advised me to see a Urologist immediately and to have the tumor removed. I underwent a partial nephectomy of the left kidney which turned out to be a "Stage 1"cancerous mass. Dr. A truly saved my life, if he had not ordered the initial testing, the mass would have not be found. Dr. A is a true professional, he is kind and compassionate and spends a lot of time (something we rarely see) answering your questions and concerns. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Avezzano!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
