Dr. Paltrowitz has been an important part of my family's well being. His guidance has helped set the way for a positive path. The insight he provides is reassuring. He is always honest and listens to our concerns with care.

Great doctor, specific personality Dr. Paltrowitz knows a lot about the things he prescribes, and has memorized many details about them (ex. '1.5% of people experience (X) side effect on this medication'). He is very straightforward and nonjudgmental, and does not get stuck on any specific way of doing things. He is perhaps too relaxed about prescribing new medications at times (ex. 'if you feel this way, why don't we prescribe (X) and see what happens?'), even ones that are hard to wean off of, so you have to be ok asserting yourself when you don't think you need something. If you want a doctor who is very knowledgeable about various medications and gives you a lot of agency to make decisions with him about your treatment plan, Dr. Paltrowitz is for you. If you want someone who is hesitant to prescribe medications unless absolutely needed, or someone who doesn't need your input much about medication choices, maybe look elsewhere.

Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this Doctor. I have 3 children with special needs. Ranging from Bi-Polar disorder to ADHD. I have had the opportunity over the past 20 years to work with some of the best Pediatric Psyco pharmacologists in the country. I found Dr. Paltrowitz arrogant and dismissive at best and incredibly unavailable. My family is used to dealing with children with special needs and therefore not over sensitive when it comes to the trials and tribulations that are part of the process especially when dealing with medications. I believe that he is simply selective as to who he wants to treat and rather dismissive and somewhat speedy in diagnosis. You get the sense that it’s a in and out psychiatric factory. I would not recommend him when there are many drs in his field that give you a better feeling of concern, which is essential when you are dealing with parents of little children. My Daughter is 5 years old and prescribed medications by this Dr. and he was simply unavailable during the transition from one meds to the other. Not a fan!!

I find him to be extremely respectful of my beliefs, fears and wishes for my family. I wouldn't trust any other doctor. Dr. Paltrowitz is a true gift.

Dr palkowitz changed my life after all these text book non educated horrific other doc …I’m not judging only sharing my experience but I have to say bedside manners carefully 5plus stars and learning not to be afraid to see a doctor that feels like a family member… anybody that is great need of help I come from about an hour away and I have to say it’s well worth it in many many ways many many many tens all the way!!!! 🙂 Sean H cordero
