I had great first visit with Dr. Cohn, She's very nice and answer all my questions. The 2 front lady are very nice too. I will recommend this doctor.
This is a 1 star review for: Barnabas Health Medical Group Women’s Health Center at Grove Street in Jersey City And Elisheva Cohn, MD Re: Bad Billing Practices In April I booked an appointment for my yearly Well Woman Visit with Dr. Cohn at The Women’s Health Center at Grove Street. The appointment was fine, but they have a serious problem with billing. Dr. Cohn, who I understand, does her own billing used a billing code reflecting that I was a first time patient but omitted the code for a Well Woman Visit. My insurance company assured me that my appointment was indeed covered completely but that the billing dept. of Barnabas Health Medical Group would need to resubmit the bill with the additional code for a Well Woman Visit. Upon learning this I have made numerous calls to billing, The billing dept told me I needed the doctor or an administrator to add the code. Easy, right? But no. Dr. Cohn and Stephanie, the office manager for Women’s Health Center will not return my calls. On the one occasion I did reach Stephanie, the office manager, she assured me that she would resubmit the bill with the proper code. About a month later I received yet another bill. Upon calling billing and my insurance company I learned that the bill had never been resubmitted with the new code. At this point I have left many more messages for Dr. Cohn and Stephanie but have received no calls back and feel my only option is to pay this bill that is completely covered by my insurance. So, good luck with this place and this doctor. If something should go wrong with your bill, know that they will make no attempt to correct it. They do not care if you are stuck with a bill you don’t owe. You will be very frustrated at the complete lack of communication. Obviously there are no repercussions for bad customer service at this business or the employees would take much better care of their patient’s billing issues.
