I was a patient for several years. Over time, this physician became detached, too busy, and gave me bad advice. When I called for advice on how to address a low TSH, the front desk called me back not her. They told me it was fine. My new endocrinologist told me it was dangerously low since I have atrial fibrillation.Dr Deitz was in too much of a hurry to put me on another expensive medication. Two of these meds gave me serious side effects plus cost me a fortune.I did not feel like she even cared what happened to me. She was in too much of a rush to get me out of the exam room so the next patient could be admitted.

Dr. Dietz was recommended by some people in my town but I had a bad experience with her. Dr. Dietz often seems to be in a rush, more concerned about typing her notes than looking at or listening to a patient. She seems overwhelmed by her schedule and is all over the place. Her schedule is booked months in advance and appointments are no longer than 10 minutes. Dr. Dietz never reviews my chart before coming into the exam room. She spends half of the time clicking from page to page in the chart looking for the reports from years before. Originally I came to her with a different issue, but it surprised me that she never addressed my weight until I started inquiring about it. She recommended “decreasing carbs” without inquiring about my diet (I rarely eat carbs). I hoped that, being a DO, she would have a holistic approach, but every time I asked her about non-medicinal options, she would dismiss my questions.

I have tried to get a follow-up of my tests from doctor Deitz or the nurse practitioner. I called 3 times and was told that someone would get back to me. And still NOTHING! I would guess that I wasted my valuable time with this visit as I can't get a follow-up appointment until July?? Or wait for a cancellation?? Really?? My review: Good doctor, horrible policies, and staff, it's run like a factory.

First saw her to help resolve what turned out to be pancreatitis. She caught what three other docs missed. (yay) Very thorough and competent and WILLING to do tests. That was the FIRST visit. Follow-ups found her to be brusque, dismissive, and in a hurry to get you out the door. When I suggested she was overbooking her time she got nasty. That was after a 40 plus minute wait alone in the exam room. All together did not see her for an hour after arriving. always WAY LONG waits for an appt as well. A very competent talented doc with attitude issues. I am moving on.

Didn’t feel dr cared and I felt like a number in her day.

I was a patient of Justina Dietz for a little over a year and a half. She spends as little time as possible with her patients, has an attitude, and talks down to her patients. Her lack of empathy is astounding. Dietz put me on a medication regiment as well that led me to be at risk for a potassium deficiency. She is the least thorough, rushed doctor I have ever encountered. If you see her for any type of hormonal disorder, such as PCOS, I would highly advise against it. Her only solution is birth control, and she was the least supportive when trying to discuss alternative methods. She is condesending and rude. Never again. Worst bedside manner, ever.

dr. deitz is the best doctor and proof of that is I have been her patient for many many years with no problem. She takes time talking to me, answer my questions, explains very well what I need to do to stay healthy. She is just sooo caring and I am very happy she is my doctor. Very smart indeed.

My adult daughter and I have been patients of Dr. Dietz’s for several years. We will be finding a new doctor. My daughter had a questionable ultrasound and was sent for a biopsy at Englewood Hospital. The pathologist at the hospital immediately recommended a second biopsy of her thyroid to be sent for further testing at a separate lab. My daughter called Dr. Dietz for three days hoping to speak with her for clarification about the reason for the second biopsy. Only after I called her office and said we would be canceling the second test, did Dr. Dietz finally return my daughter’s call. She did not have a voice to voice, she left a voicemail saying that my daughter might have a malignancy. We researched the number one doctor for thyroid cancer. He had been head of thyroid cancer at MD Andersen. He returned our call and spent 45 minutes on the phone with us on a Saturday night. The report by the outside lab was sent to Dr Dietz yesterday. No call. No surprise. My daughter just received a notice of no malignancy to her email. We would NEVER recommend Dr. Dietz. Very bad communication skills. Lack of compassion and care.
