SOBA New Jersey is by far the best treatment center hands down! They are so amazing and thorough! The care from all the staff from clinical to housing and the nursing staff is unmatchable! I started my time at Duke st. Everyone there the Doctors, nurses, clinicians, and techs really care and take their time to go above and beyond for you. The groups were so helpful, and I learned so many new techniques and coping skills that I can now apply to my daily life. I am currently half-way through my stay here at Morrell. The gifts I’ve received from the care of this program are unexplainable. With the help and guidance of the staff I am working back at preschool, doing what I love… my relationship with my friends and family are back, most importantly my relationship with my daughter is being mended. The time I’ve spent at housing has been incredible, the staff are ALWAYS available and really care about you and your recovery. You connect and make amazing sober friendships. My network is growing and my recovery is thriving! The therapy is outstanding, and the groups have been so informative and helpful… I’ve learned so much already! Bob and Alex have really made an impact on my life and recovery. I am so grateful to be at SOBA and with their help the possibilities for my future are endless! Thank you SOBA New Jersey, you have been so incredibly good to me!
SOBA New Jersey is a great long-term program for anyone suffering from substance abuse and/or mental health issues. I recently graduated the program after 4 months in the clinical and housing programs. Clinical has interactive groups at several different levels (PHP/IOP/OP) and a variety of qualified therapists for individual and family sessions. The housing program is what stood out for me and I appreciated the most as I was trying to get sober and start my new life. Housing is a safe and inclusive place to live located near everything you need in New Brunswick/Rutgers. It provides an environment with similar individuals to get your life in order with little outside stress. The most important aspect was the help that housing staff provided. You spend most of your time in housing and I received as much, if not more, guidance and therapy in unofficial sessions talking with staff. A lot of them are in recovery themselves and can help you establish a sobriety blue print if you will. The supervisor Bob was one of my trusted advisors in sobriety. He helped me learn what was necessary to remain sober, including active participation in AA and the close connection with a personal sponsor. I would recommend this program for anyone that has the opportunity to attend and wants to save their own lives.
