I went to see Dr. Abdel-Megid today and I found him to be very informative, kind and professional. He took a generous amount of time to answer all my questions too. I wish all my other doctors were like him! The office staff was very friendly as well.

On May 26 I scheduled an appointment with this practice for July 13th with Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Megid. This was for a new patient visit. I was referred to this practice by my general practitioner after presenting with symptoms as well as abnormal lab results. On July 12th, having not yet received a confirmation call from the office, I called them to confirm my appointment for the next day. I was told that although I was indeed scheduled for the next day, the doctor was no longer available, and that I could still see a physicians assistant if I wanted. When asked when I would be able to see the actual doctor, I was told the next availability was not until September. As a new patient who is symptomatic with abnormal lab results who is seeking a possible initial diagnosis, I feel that a visit with an MD is appropriate in my case. I believe that having the provider switched on me without my knowledge or consent is at best inappropriate and inconsiderate, and at worst possibly medically less than what is needed in my case. I was quite shocked by this development, and when I began asking questions, I was bluntly asked by the receptionist "Would you like the appointment with the assistant or not?" The end result is that I have decided to seek care from a different highly rated practice, where I have been assured that I will definitely see a doctor, and that the provider will never be switched without my knowledge or consent. My advice would be that if you decide to book with this practice, you verify that you will be seen by the provider that you were originally booked to see.

Horrible experience when a doctor has your blood work and asks, "What can I do for you today!?" He is condescending and arrogant. I saw another physician in this practice who did an evaluation and blood work done in Dec. 2020. She is no longer with the group. I tried for two months with no follow up. After reading the blood work & finding out I have celiac disease on my own, I finally get a virtual visit, and all he wants to do is trash his old partner & question her logic for running a celiac/gluten panel in the blood work. Well he is obviously not as experienced, skilled, or trained as well as she was. You can google search and find out why she ran this panel. Another one who doesn't read literature. Lucky you have Pharma and diagnostic tests to practice. Your a joke. NEJM or JAMA for starters and maybe Journal of Rheumatology, or Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases. What do they call the doctor who graduated last in their Medical School? "Doctor" He is horrible stay away!
