Anoli Maniar Md's Online Review Report Card

I never post bad reviews, I understand employees, service people, and even Doctors are still human beings who make mistakes. But Dr. Anoli Maniar was quite judgemental, impatient, and mean. She would not let me speak, refused to explain things, and was all but rolling her eyes when I tried to communicate my issues. She wrote me a script without explaining the medication or side effects, and was out the door in under 5 minutes (no other patients n the office) . Possibly other doctors at this practice are good, but my advice is to avoid her if you can.

My wife recommended Dr. Maniar to me when I had water blocked up in my ear canal. I made an appointment and she cleaned out my ears okay. After that, she asked me to do a hearing test and I went off to a booth to have my hearing checked out. Once done, she asked me a bunch of questions about my health, particularly about my sleep. She told me her office is fully setup to examine for sleep apnea, provide sleep study equipment for me to take home and use while I am sleeping. Based on the results, she would set me up with sleep apnea equipment. I was having trouble with poor sleep so I setup an appointment. During the appointment (a few months after my first appointment), she went through the customary checks of my ears, nose and throat. She told me I had a big glob of wax in my left ear and she asked me if I would like her to remove it. I did not have ANY problem with my ears, but if there was wax in it, I said sure. She pulled out some wax the size of piece of rice. Anyway, the whole sleep apnea appointment was another Q&A session and I filled out some silly form and she interpreted the results. "Yes, you are a candidate for a sleep apnea study. Please make an appointment to pick up the equipment from us." I had to come back yet again and meet with another nurse that explained how to use the equipment. The equipment in the box was filthy and the nurse scrambled to clean things up. I came back yet again to return the equipment and have my results analyzed. A week later I got a call from one of the receptionists informing me that I have sleep apnea and that I would have to go to another doctor to get a check up and get the sleep apnea equipment! To top things off, because she pulled that grain or rice sized piece of wax out of my ear, she sent a bill for $600. I got my CPAP equipment from another doctor - I was not going back to this shoddy operation again. But recently, I wanted to buy a different CPAP mask from an online vendor. The vendor asked me to get a doctor's verification that I have sleep apnea. Since my other doctor shut down his business, I figured I would have Dr. Maniar give the recommendation. She would not even do that!!! What a piece of s - - -! Stay away! Money grubber doctor here.....

After going through multiple appointments, she told me I would need to see yet another dr to get fitted for sleep apnea equipment. She would not even verify that I have sleep apnea when I ordered equipment online. Farce!!!

Very friendly and thorough. I was getting sinus headaches 3-5 times a week. After trying multiple medications, she recommended allergy testing. I had been taking allergy meds for 15 years and it turns out, I don’t have allergies. She ordered a Cat scan and called me with the results promptly. It turned out I had a severely diviated septum and some other issues. She performed surgery and a few days after, I can already feel a difference. I would highly recommend and trust her!

Absolutely incredible doctor. Always listens to problems and symptoms. Very humble. Would recommend anyone and everyone go to her.

Dr. Maniar is a very caring and kind doctor. I found her to be very patient and well spoken. I would take any of my family members to be treated by her.

Dr. Maniar saw our child for symptoms of a little known disorder. She was completely professional yet empathetic and caring so our child felt comfortable. Her attention was thorough, and her analyses complete. She was always respectful of our time and concerns. Two years later, we have chosen Dr. Maniar for our child's surgery following, again, a careful diagnosis and thorough follow-up for an unrelated condition. My wife and I both have full confidence in Dr. Maniar.

Dr. Maniar is, simply, the doctor I trust the most. I went to her for one particular concern but, because she listens closely and follows up carefully, she diagnosed me correctly -- something 15 years of seeing other specialists in NYC & NJ neverr accomplished. She then helped me find the additional specialists and treatment I need to enjoy the quality of life I have today. I am grateful i can continue to see her whenever needed. Dr. Maniar and her staff are always on time and efficient.

Dr. Maniar figured out my medical issue when no other doctor could do so for more than 15 years. She listened carefully and put in the effort to understand the whole picture and make a correct diagnosis. Others had treated this or that, but she put it all together and figured it out. As well as following up with me herself, she connected me to the other professionals and services I needed and set me on the path to good health. I still see her as needed for follow-up., and she continues to impress me with both her knowledge and her manner. Her office staff are helpful and efficientas well. The difference she has made in my health and quality of life is nothing short of amazing.

She is a though and very caring Doctor that knows her area of expertise.
