Dr Chen is very professional, personable,and listens. Does not rush you. Wants to make sure you understand everything about a procedure, and answers all questions you have. On day of surgery, he visited before the surgery, asked if I had any questions, went over the procedure again, after surgery he visited again before I left. Wanted to make sure everything was ok. That Sunday, he personally called me to see how I was recovering. And I could tell, he really cared. He told me I could call him anytime. Had a follow up appointment,and all was well. The surgery went great, and I had no issues or pain while recovering. I will absolutely recommend Dr Chen.

I was never able to actually see Dr. Chen. His office staff was unable to send me an invoice for my $15 copay. I’ve never encountered a medical practice unable to do this. Instead, they demanded the payment up-front, even after I explained that I have $22 total for food and gas for my family of three for the next six days. This was my second hernia surgery. The first was for an inguinal hernia repair about 29 years ago when I was in the military. Yesterday’s repair was for an umbilical hernia. Dr Chen was great.
