List of Joseph L. Gugliotta's Reviews
Insensitive man. Dismissive.
Arrogant. I saw him years ago when I had Lyme and he was incredibly dismissive and rude. I suspect he doesn't approve of women who question him. He said incredibly rude things to me and I left his practice and found a doctor who treated me appropriately and actually helped. I was quite ill when I saw Dr. G and struggling with two young children and he treated me like I was crazy and malingering. I still think about him- he was abusive and I felt traumatized. Stay away from this "big fish in a small pond" creep.
My visit was a long time ago. I was a young mother who was quite ill with Lyme disease, and also had two toddlers who were also sick with Lyme. Doctor Gugliotta was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns about myself and my children. At one point he told me to stop wasting his time. I was quite upset. It's 30 years later, and my kids are grown, in fact one is now a doctor herself. I still think back on the incredibly rude and harmful attitude I got from Doctor G. at a very vulnerable time, and wonder what kind of sick arrogance one man must have to treat a young frightened mother of two in such a way. It took me a long time to trust doctors again. I did find a doctor who treated my Lyme aggressively, and I was able to return to a decent quality of life. That doctor was not Doctor G. To him, I was just a pain in the neck because I didn't get better quickly enough. It's fair to say that he's one of the few humans for whom I feel actual hatred.
This doctor is amazing. He’s so thorough and nice. He’s caring, takes his time and actually listens and inquires with what would be best for patient to patient. I’ve never met a doctor that made me laugh while making me feel like he honestly knows what he is talking about. Would give him 10 stars if i could.
First of all I cannot believe there are any negative comments on here I met this man in the hospital in 2012 I was suffering from a strep a blood infection that turned into toxic shock syndrome and he literally saved my life I have been going to see him ever since and although some diagnosis are complicated he has never denied me care he has always gone over and above for me and if he could not treat me he would refer me to another doctor he is the most gentle, kind, caring, and thorough doctor I have ever met or will ever meet and I will be extremely upset the day he retires He has always made me feel like I’m important and spends time getting to know me and not just my condition I will forever be grateful for this doctor in my life who is not only an extraordinary man but also my friend
I am a physician in practice over 50 years, and a patient of Dr. Gugliotta. Dr Gugliotta's care is exemplary. His skill, thoroughness, and compassion are unfortunately rare in many of the hurried practices of today. He is truly a doctor's doctor.
I had late stage Lyme disease with severe neurological symptoms. This man told me to get out of his office and to stop wasting his time so he could take care of really sick people. I ended up finding another doctor and secured treatment which worked. This was 30 years ago. I hear he hasn't changed at all. I will hate him until the day I die.
My son was attacked by a cat in 2017 and was hospitalized for 7 days. Dr. Gugliotta was the infectious disease doctor assigned to my sons case and I’m truly grateful he was. My sons condition was deteriorating quickly and Dr. Gugliotta was able to figure out the missing pieces to the puzzle. He had a fantastic bed side manner and without a doubt is extremely knowledgeable. My family and I are forever grateful to Dr. Gugliotta!
He is excellent. Was very thorough. Great with Lymes and other infectious diseases.
After years of being missed diagnosed I found Dr. Gugliotta. At my first visit he examined me and did blood work. 2 days later he found out I actually had cutaneous T cell lymphoma.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
