List of Marc I. Sandberg's Reviews
I was referred by my GP to see a specialist. Dr. Sandberg was very caring and was aggressive in handling my Type II Diabetes. It's now under control. Thanks Dr. Sandberg.
I have been seeing Dr. Sandberg for many years now, probably 15 or so. He is the most kind, compassionate, thorough, insightful and professional endocronologist I have seen in the 25 years I've been an insulin dependent Type II diabetic. I wouldn't want anyone else!
Thorough, nonjudgmental, intelligent and highly skilled endocrinologist. On my first visit I had to confess some very personal tragedies that had been keeping me from taking care of myself as I felt he should know everything. He was incredibly kind and understanding, didn’t rush me through my story and gave me hope. Excellent doctor.
Both my father and fiance are lucky to call Dr. Sandberg their Endocrinologist. My Dad is 89 years old (and has a twenty plus year history of diabetes) and I feel certain that the quality of care he has received from Dr. Sandberg over the years has kept him healthy with limited lifestyle restrictions. Dr. Sandberg is proactive in his advice and recommendations. We have never left his office feeling rushed or with any questions unanswered. We have found him to be a very pleasant professional. I have recommended many colleagues and friends to his office and have heard good feedback from them as well. In addition, atop the high caliber of care and attention we receive from Dr. Sandberg, important to note is that over the years we have never waited more than five minutes before being called to an exam room, and less than two minutes once in the exam room (post the medical assistants initial workup) prior to seeing Dr. Sandberg. This speaks volumes for how the office is run.
He is so locked into looking at his computer screen, he wouldn't even know my name if he looked away for a minute. He makes 15 second decisions (based only on lab results) that affect every aspect of my life for an entire year. He used to listen, and I thought he cared, but for the past two years, he hasn't heard a word I've said.
There simply is no better endocronologist than Dr. Sandberg. I cannot understand what some others have said about being outdated in his knowledge (he certainly isn't with respect to insulin dependent diabetes and he's had much to do with the development of the VGO-30 and Medtronic pump delivery systems), and I especially don't understand those who have commented that he is condescending or an inattentive listener. He is neither BY FAR, but rather one of the most compassionate, warm and conversant doctor I've had the pleasure of being treated by, and I've been treated by him now for some 20 years. He's an absolute doll. Ignore any negative remarks to the contrary.
great Dr. Been going to him for 8 years. Really nice staff and always a good experience. I highly recommend
My first visit was satisfactory. At the second visit, I concluded that he could not accept responsibility for his work and took apparent offense when I instructed that any prescriptions be sent to my PCP for review. He concluded the visit by telling me that I did not need to make any further appointments unless my PCP so advised. I thought this was a bit immature and decided to seek a more competent and professional endocrinologist. It is a shame that there are so many diabetics in need of help and such a shallow pool of competent practitioners.
Dr Sandburg was very dismissive and condisending. He argued with me about the symptoms I was experiencing and made me feel rushed during my appointment. I would not recommend him as a doctor at all.
I have been a patient of Dr. Sandberg's since he started with this practice. I can't praise him enough. He listens, and is willing to try my crazy self-diagnosing ideas.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
