Great staff, amazing Doctor. Attentive, explains well. Great Surgeon

Dr. Allard performed my gallbladder surgery recently. He was wonderful! He has an amazing bedside manner, is patient, and took the time to explain and discuss the surgery in detail and answer any and all questions I had. My post-op appt was no different. His office staff is super kind and friendly as well. The surgery went flawlessly and I healed pretty quickly, no doubt in part to Dr. Allard's surgical expertise. I highly recommend! My experience having the surgery at HMC's Same-Day Surgery Center was great as well, and the facility was clean, well-staffed, and the timing I was given for everything was down to the minute. Very good experience all around.

I was referred to Hunterdon surgical associates and my experience has been amazing! From making the appointment to the visit with Dr. Allard I could not have asked for better service. Dr. Allard takes his time to explain everything you need to know. After recommending a test the office staff scheduled it and followed up immediately ! When results came back Dr. Allard actually called me the same day to discuss results . My journey is not complete yet but I feel comfortable knowing I am in good hands! I feel like I went back in time when Drs took the time to listen and advise without staring into a laptop during a visit !

After having a cat scan in the ED reveal there was an issue with my gallbladder, Dr. Allard came in to discuss what he was going to do and very patiently described the procedure for me, as I was extremely nervous since there were a lot of other things going on. He helped tremendously to calm me down and helped my family with questions as well. He has a very kind, trustworthy manner to him that you feel as soon as he starts talking to you. He let me ask as many questions as I had without making me feel like I was overreacting. He worked with the anesthesiologist and other drs as a true team to make sure everything would go safely and with a great outcome. I truly felt he took care of me as he would his own family member. After the surgery he came and explained what he did and how I would be feeling over the next few days and then when I went home. After I got home I had questions and he responded immediately. I think he’s a phenomenal surgeon and I highly recommend him.

I started seeing Dr.Allard as a child & he had no bedside manner whatsoever!He did not explain things well to my parents and were left wondering!He first wanted to remove my kidney at age 12 and then changed his mind last minute as I was already sedated!At 22 removed two thirds of my kidney and I had pain a year later.He mentioned he might have to remove more!The 9 inch scar has caused it's own problems and my new uroligist does not believe surgery was needed in the first place!I had been seeing him for over ten years and when he was to see me in the hospital for stones,he stepped in the room looked around and left.I asked the nurses where he had went and when paged,he was in his car on his way home,as he did not recognize me! Retire Allard...your eyes were bad then!

I found him very helpful and knowledgeable.

It's time for Doctor Allard to retire to Comox where he can golf and fish and not be worried about those patients back in Edmonton for whom he has litle regard.

I was referred to Dr. Allard because of hematuria and kidney stones. He was not at all friendly and was very aloof. When he performed a cystoscopy on me without administering an antibiotic, I ended up in Emergency with a raging kidney infection. In the end, he did not think my problem was kidney stones, but did not follow up or refer me in order to get to the root of the problem. I cannot recommend this doctor in good conscience.

Has concern for patient and knows when to refer to another surgeon.

Dr. Allard responded to both of my kidney stone treatments (three years appart) as a true professional. There were no delays nor pain and he explained the whole proceedure to me.
