I live out of state and had to visit the ER while in New Jersey . Dr Mehta treated me and was very compassionate , he took time to explain everything very thoroughly and was very patient. I felt very comfortable with him even though I was in extreme pain . He has a wonderful , calming bedside manner.

Saw him in the ER for excruciating pain in my gallbladder region. I couldn’t move, breathe, cough without crying. He joked how the surgeon would be mad to have to remove my gallbladder on a Saturday. After an ultrasound for stones showed negative, he injected me with a narcotic pain killer and anxiety meds. Then he sent me on my way with a vague pleurisy/torn muscle diagnosis. He took an entire week to return calls from my pharmacy regarding a script he prescribed and then just said “tell her to follow up with her primary doctor.” That’s a process that takes time-hence why I went to the nearest ER. However, I did follow up. I was referred to a GI surgeon and a Pulmonary specialist. The surgeon wanted to schedule me for surgery as soon as the following day. Your “diagnosis” was pretty off. People seek emergency care because they’re desperate. They leave work in tears because they’re in pain. I only ended up in that ER because I was working. I definitely won’t return to this hospital’s emergency department if at all possible.
